Ever wonder about staying in a country cottage? Well come get a taste of the country life on a pristine 5 acre property! One bedroom, one bath cottage home with a beautiful porch to relax on. Sun at the pool during the day and gaze at the stars at night. Lots to do in Huntsville, Conroe, New Waverly, and Coldsprings including local wineries and antique stores!
Guest access
Guest have access to the complete cottage, vehicle driveway capable of one – two vehicles. Front porch sitting area with large pool on site.
Other things to note
House is located on five secluded acres.

16 min drive to nearby Willis, TX that has local eateries and major grocery stores.

17 min drive to trailhead #15 of the Lone Star Hiking Trail.

Centrally located between Willis, Conroe, New Waverly, Coldspring, and Cleveland.

Cottage is merely 30 minutes from The Woodlands and from beautiful Lake Conroe.

Quiet Country Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our holiday weekend getaway with our dogs. The cottage was cozy and clean, perfect for us. We could cook and relax, stay in and watch TV/movies when it was raining (smartTV). When the weather was nice, we enjoyed the refreshing pool. We were close to Conroe, Montgomery and Lake Conroe to enjoy good restaurants, wineries and other activities. We did a Walmart pickup the first night to have groceries, there is also a HEB and Kroger in Conroe. A smaller grocer is also nearby the cottage. We did some antiquing in Willis and New Waverly. Tammy was a wonderful host and a neat person to talk to. She was very welcoming and had great local recommendations. She has great taste and has put a lot of heart and detail into the property. The porch was really nice to have coffee and hang with the dogs. The cicadas at night and fireflies made it so relaxing. We even did smores one night in the fire pit. We loved the added counter space with the cutting boards that fit over the sink and the electric burner, toaster, Keurig and pan was perfect to prepare for our morning breakfast!

Beautiful & Peaceful

Pictures don't do this gem justice. French Country style in a beautiful and peaceful location and still close to shops and restaurants. Tucked away on a beautiful property, "Off The Beaten Path Country Cottage" is a perfect getaway for solitude and relaxation. The decor is lovely, the grounds are lovely and the host is even lovelier! Would love to come back for another great stay!

Once again, we enjoyed our time at Off the Beaten Path very much. It’s such a lovely, quiet, cozy spot. We’ve stayed here several times & this time appreciated rocking on the porch in the mornings & evenings. Thanks to both Tammy & Chris. 👏

Great Getaway

Nice and quiet. Exactly what we needed to get out of the city for a couple days. Lovely property. We will be back.

Cozier than it appears

It is definitely “cozy.” The pictures don’t show it but the pool is in the owners backyard so private only when they aren’t home. Those things are only minor issues…the biggest issue was the ant infestation in the kitchen. The owner told me that the last visitors saw ants. I don’t know what she did or didn’t do, but I had to replace food twice because ants attacked two different days. The only offer was to have her son come and spray, with me and my dogs in the cottage. The whole situation was disappointing, I went home two days early

Great getaway

Tammy’s cottage was amazing! I needed a weekend to get a way from everything. My social battery was as depleted. This little cottage and pool was exactly what the dr ordered! Comfy, quiet, and peaceful. Close enough to town to get a few things for snacks and supper, but far enough away to feel “alone”. Perfect get away! Tammy was responsive to messages and made sure everything was on par. 10/10 recommend if you need an escape.

Our stay was wonderful! Off the Beaten Path is in a beautiful rural setting, complete w/ a delightful, small swimming pool. Tammy provides a well-equipped, comfy home away from home!

AMAZING!!

She was so kind and the place was perfect for my husband baby daughter and dog! She was fast with responses to my questions and so helpful. The place is perfect and close to access roads into town in a nice hidden quiet spot! 10/10!!!

Couples Getaway

My hubby and I needed a weekend away together wo kids and craziness of life, just to recharge and spend time together. This place was perfect. It was secluded which was nice but only 20-40 min away to big towns to shop and food etc. We enjoyed an evening in pool and enjoyed dinner pool side after a day of antique shopping. Wanted to hike which there are many trails close by but all closed due to recent storm damage. Only surprise was description didn’t indicate another house on property so we were surprised to see it when we pulled up. We almost thought we had wrong location. It wasn’t an issue just surprised. Would stay there again!

CUTE little house! Very quiet

Very cute little house. Easy to find but far enough off the road to be super quiet. Super clean and pretty comfy bed with great pillows. The only thing is they listed a hot tub we never found.
