Escape the everyday and experience the extraordinary when you book this fantastic and historic vacation home for your next getaway. This restored 1909 farmhouse has all the amenities of a modern home but has maintained its rustic sensibilities. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Saratoga Passage, Camano Island, and Mount Baker. Sit by the crackling outdoor firepit, stroll or play yard games across 4 1/2 acres of fields and gardens, or sit and read under the trees. Indulge in cocktails while witnessing the spectacular sunset from the gazebo or gather around the piano inside while you tickle the ivories. Watch the roosting eagles soar above the bluff year-round, and see the gray whales in the distance during their migration from March to May.

Upon entry, you'll be met with a bright interior and a cozy atmosphere throughout the well-appointed living area. Marvel at the blanket of natural light coming in through the windows, the effortless woodwork, and the beautiful furnishings, radiating comfort from every corner. Prepare grand meals in the sophisticated kitchen, equipped with stainless steel appliances, ample cupboard room, and a formal dining table. Comfortable beds in spacious bedrooms ensure that everyone receives a wonderful night's rest from the day's adventures, with the main bedroom boasting a lovely en suite bathroom.

Unit is on the high bluff with no direct water access.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Great stay

Just book it already!

What a great property inside and out. Our annual Whidbey Island Family gathering was held here. We usually rent a different place every year, but this time I think we all agree to return to Marty's Place again. Lots of space for all of us with a room to spare. The kitchen is amazing with two dishwashers, two sinks with garbage disposals, a great oven, well-stocked kitchen, plus a spectacular view! It's a perfect space for a large family. Simply the BEST stay yet!

Amazing stay at Marty's Place!

Marty's Place was the perfect venue for our group of 12 women to spend a beautiful weekend. The grounds and view were beautiful, the kitchen was so well-stocked, the location was convenient-- all in all, it's the ideal space for a large group to stay!

Great location. Gorgeous home. Property is large, beautiful and private. Great views. The wrap around porch was perfect for watching the sunset. The home is well maintained, nicely furnished, and equipped with everything, including an EV charger. Close to town. We can’t say enough good things about this house.

Beautiful Property for Large Groups

Amazing property and a beautiful kitchen, with plenty of bedding arrangements. Many of the couches were pullouts which allowed people to sleep by themselves rather than share a bed. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to relax even with a big family!

Everything - View, lawn and pasture, trees and flowering garden borders, lovely porches, great kitchen, ample dining room , space for groups, space for quiet chats, space for escape of the group to quiet reading and introverts too.

Beautiful, Quiet, Breathtaking View, Great for Families

We absolutely loved our stay at Marty’s Place!! The home was incredibly charming and clean and we immediately felt at home. Our kids liked playing outside and we all found spots around the house to read. It was a great spot for a multigenerational trip! We will definitely stay there again in the future.

A picturesque spot

A Slice of Heaven

Beware, if you come to Marty's place you'll never want to leave. The view is sublime, the grounds are expansive and beautiful, the house is gracious and spacious. We were a party of 7 adults and 1 teen on Whidbey for my daughter's wedding at Fireseed. Marty's Place was the perfect basecamp for the parent's of the bride and some friends and family from all over the world. We made big home cooked meals in the wonderfully equipped and gigantic kitchen, we roasted marshmallows with cousins in the fabulous fire pit, we spent hours relaxing, chatting and sipping on the wide and comfortable wrap around porch. Thank you Marty's Place for every moment of Whidbey magic!

Incredible Property for a Family Reunion

We totally loved our stay at Marty’s Place with our family. The house is beautiful and the property and views are amazing. Family Reunion

The Strawbridge Farm Farmhouse is gorgeous and sits prominently overlooking the Saratoga Passage where eagles soared over the water past the house daily. The interior is lovely and there is plenty of room for relaxation, conversation, cooking, dining. We really enjoyed our stay! Looking forward to returning there again someday. Thank you! Beautiful home with some cleaning issues

The home and property were beautiful, we saw orca whales from the yard. The house is also very nice and well equipped. Unfortunately it was not as clean as we would have expected, the biggest issue was finding urine in a chest upstairs. We messaged the property manager about this and they did fix it quickly. Some of the rugs also smelled like urine and did not seem clean.

Ideal Gathering Place!

We chose Marty's Place for our annual sisters & cousins getaway, and it fit the bill perfectly. Plenty of rooms and beds and bathrooms--and nooks for puzzling and reading and chatting. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped, allowing us to cook every meal for ourselves, and the space even allowed for our impromptu dance party. While we didn't take full advantage of the outdoor space, it was lovely to look at, and the water views from both floors were outstanding. We'll be back!

Annual Family Cabin Weekend

This is our 3rd annual family cabin weekend. The family voted this the best thing yet. The property was amazing and easily accommodated the 11 of us. Some of the kids are real foodies and the kitchen was very well equipped. The grounds and view are amazing. There were good places for those who had to work to hide away. Will definitely consider again.

Nana's 80 Birthday Celebration

14 of spent the weekend at Marty's place. We enjoyed the large, well appointed house sitting on a bluff overlooking Saratoga Passage. The beds were very comfortable and the house heated perfectly so all were warm. It is a wonderful place and one that is perfect for special family celebrations. Also, thank you for allowing our dog to be with us. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire pit while viewing the water looking for whales.

Beautiful old house and amazing location.

This is an absolutely magnificent home. It’s nicely decorated and comfortable with more than enough room for a large family or gathering. The view and grounds are beautiful. Being an old home there are some quirks, like creaky stairs and antique door handles, which can be frustrating to work, but this gives the home its charm and character. The kitchen is perfectly appointed with a Viking stove and confection oven, large refrigerator and two dishwashers. The bedrooms all have antique furniture and cozy quilts with gorgeous views.

Perfect Girl's Trip

Perfect girls trip. Four of us stayed at Marty’s House and loved every minute. The house is very welcoming with a wrap-around porch where we gathered every night for a glass of wine while watching the sunset. It has a huge kitchen with everything you would need or want and large, well-appointed bedrooms. The beds and linens were very comfortable and we loved all the quilts. The house and property is well maintained and very clean. Downtown Langley is a quaint little town with great restaurants, wine tasting rooms and quality shops that are not “Touristy” souvenir stores. It was a great stay and if we come back, Marty’s House will be on the top of our list.

Mom's 90th!

This was the absolute perfect home for our family to gather to celebrate our precious Mother! Everyone had their own space to sleep, the view was pristine gorgeous, and close to the ferry and local beach access. Our kids had a great time flying kites in the large yard, a cozy fire pit and exploring the acreage. There were a couple things we needed to notify the owner about, and the response was immediate. We really treasure the memories made and hope to return.
