A winter visit
We booked a very last minute trip and Kerry was very accommodating. The house was spotlessly clean and well appointed. It was a short and pleasant walk to the beach where there was a playground and bocce court for the kids. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely return when we could use the pool!

Our family loves to travel, explore new towns and villages, relax on the beach, take a dip in the pool and we enjoy walking and biking after great home cooked meals. We would like you to enjoy a top quality low-maintenance vacation while you stay at our vacation retreat, and we're happy to do anything possible to make that happen.

Clearwater Beach is a private beach community located in East Hampton's famed 'Springs'. Large stretches of bay beach are just a few minutes walk from our home, half mile to be exact. At the beach there is a marina, playground, bbq's, bocce, basketball, a place to launch your kayak, covered pavilion and life guarding in season. It's a quiet family neighborhood, yet very central to all the East End hot spots; shopping, fine dining and sites.
Springs is known in art circles as the cradle of the abstract expressionist movement. Artists such as Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning and John Ferren worked there. Writers such as Kurt Vonnegut, Joseph Heller, Philip Roth, Nora Ephron, and John Steinbeck have lived in or near Springs. Artists and writers were attracted to the area due to its rural nature despite being so easy to access from New York City. Traditionally, locals are referred to as "Bonackers" which comes from Accabonac Harbor in Springs.
The Pollock-Krasner House and Studio on Springs-Fireplace Road is owned by Stony Brook University and is open for tours by appointment. It includes an external studio shed where dried paint from Pollock's projects is splattered on the floor and evokes Pollock's most famous works. The neighborhood around it is an East Hampton historic district.
Come be inspired!

We've been hosting families and friends at this property since 2015. With SuperHost status on other rental sites, we find that most our guests love how easy our house is, how clean it is, how the pool and easy walk to the beach make it a haven for families to enjoy and how the private yard and grounds are so lush. Most frequent feedback "pictures don't do it justice".
