The house was as described but could have been cleaner. On a very busy street with very fast traffic. It did meet all of our needs. The host was very responsive to a question we had.

I was very happy with my stay at 1761 Jackson. I felt safe, the house was clean, and the location from downtown was perfect. The host was also very flexible with me when I asked for a later check out and when I had to extend my stay another night due to a snow storm in Chicago. She was very attentive when I messaged her to answer any questions I had. Thank you for making my stay in Memphis memorable.

Mixed feelings

If you are a light sleeper this is not for you, the road is incredibly close and at least 3 emergency vehicles went by every night. The house is remodeled and cute however attention needs to be given to the front and back doors, they both appear to have damage from someone trying to pry the doors open (which added to the insecure feeling about the property) and have left gaps in the door, totally not secure and I'm sure the air conditioner wouldn't have to work as hard and the electric bill would be lower with replacement doors. We were only left 1 wash cloth for 2 people/ 2 nights... On the plus side there is a washer and dryer, Keurig coffee maker.

This guest stayed at my place for 10 days. He did smoking inside my place, he used Marijuana there. I still have picture proof with me. He did party at my place and played music so loud at late night that neighbors start texting me in the middle of night. I would not recommend this guest to anyone. I reported him to VRBO as well. Because of all this I got this 2 star review.

This neighborhood is close to most attractions in Memphis. People live to stay here when they visit Memphis from outside. Also this place is close to many known hospitals as well. People come and stay here for work reasons too.
