Enjoy the morning sunrise at Daybreak House. Sip your coffee on the front porch or covered side deck. A front porch with 2 ramps and seating, a sunroom with gas logs, Large kitchen & dining area. In the evenings enjoy grilling on the covered deck or build a fire in the fire pit and watch the sunset and mountains views. Watch abundant wildlife in the surrounding pastures and forest. House is newly updated, unique wood interior, Enjoy hiking, mtn. biking and horse trails at Grayson Highlands State Park (8 miles) Fox Creek day parking (10 miles), Sparta, West Jefferson, NC. are a 35-minute drive with restaurants, shops, antiques and entertainment. Ample parking, Unplug from your busy , Television, DVD player and a selection of movies, cards and puzzles. Bedroom #1 has a king bed, sheets, pillows and blankets. Bedroom #2 has a queen and twin bed, sheets, pillows, blankets. Large bathroom has towels, wash clothes, soaps, shampoo, etc. Ceiling fans in every rooms. Quiet nights for perfect sleep. Large shade trees and landscaping enhance the quiet feel of the property.

Great location near Grayson Highlands State Park. Very comfortable and spacious house with wonderful meadow views. Spent alot of time on the back deck enjoying the peaceful views and bird songs and sightings of deer. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful peaceful, setting. A lot of room for both of our dogs to roam and play. We saw deer grazing in the fields in the mornings and in the evenings. The morning sunrise was beautiful coming over the mountains. We would love to come back in the future. Pat was the perfect host.

We were very pleased with our stay. The house is very clean and well-furnished, with a fully stocked kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. We appreciated our large, well-behaved dog being welcome to join us. We especially enjoyed the peaceful and scenic surroundings. We will come back next time we want to visit Grayson Highlands State Park.

I like the quiet of the country, but did not enjoy travelling on Low gap Rd. It was great to have full size refrigerator. And we enjoyed a relaxing evening watching Secretariat after spending the day Grayson Highlands State Park and touring Kentucky Horse Park the previous day. Host was very pleasant to communicate with.

Peaceful stay in the country

I really enjoyed my stay. The hosts were very nice and the property was clean and comfortable. It was so peaceful and quite and the sunrises were amazing. I would certainly stay here again.

Great stay / close to adventures and off the grid.

It was a fantastic cabin. Quiet and close to lots of trails and fun. Great host and a perfect setup to get away from the hustle and noise of a busy life. The quiet nights weee our highlights. We’ll stay here again.

Comfortable cabin close to Grayson Highlands

Loved the cabin and the owner. Great deck with grill and lights. Close to Mt Rogers and Grayson Highlands. Very quiet and dark sky at night for star gazing.

Back to the country

Nicely appointed cabin with indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. Lots of views of the farm on which the cabin is located. Abundant wildlife to watch. You can really get away from it here.

Lovely cabin near Grayson Highlands

The house is very nice and well supplied with everything we needed: beautiful porch, lots of amenities, altogether very comfortable! 5 min. from the General Store and less than 10 from the state park entrance. It was a perfect base for day hikes. The host was attentive but not intrusive.

Great Stay and Great Location!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin is very nice and was very clean. Plenty of room inside. Beautiful scenery around, including mountain views, and cool wildlife. We saw many different kinds of birds and had great looks at deer. The owners were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The cabin was located close to Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt. Rogers, and Whitetop Mountain. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the area!

Fantastic location to get away

My wife and I wanted to just get away from everything for a couple of nights and be located closely to Grayson Highlands. This location was a perfect selection. It was clean, had all necessary amenities, and was so peaceful. I can’t recommend this location enough. Thanks to Bill for coming to check and make sure we had everything we needed.

Wonderful retreat and location for fly fishing western VA

A wonderful cabin that was perfectly clean, well stocked with cooking supplies, everything worked, and deliciously quiet. The owners could not have been more gracious and concerned about our comfort. We fly fished for six days, hitting some of the best rivers in VA. We didn’t miss the wifi or TV at all. A true retreat that I hope to return to.

Grayson Highland Trail runners

Very comfortable. Slept well due to area being very quiet and peaceful. No WiFi which was not an issue. We all enjoyed taking time to unplug.

Quiet, restful

My mother-in-law, friend, and I stayed the weekend here. How lovely! We were able to see the Milky Way at night, and there was no cell service (except some spotty with T-Mobile). There's no WiFi so we quickly enjoyed the quiet, the lack of technology hum, and started slowing down and breathing deeply very quickly. Pat is very helpful and friendly. She told us a little about the property, and was very hospitable. My mother-in-law is already planning her own trip there! We hope to stay again!

Nice break from home

If you're looking for a place away from town, this is it. Along a national forest and surrounded mostly by farms. Beautiful view of fall foilage. Dark enough for star gazing. Not far from Grayson Highlands. The only issue I had is not a problem with the owners--they were great--but the incorrect listing on Internet access put up by Vrbo.There's no Internet, and the owners have been completely up front about that. In the long run, I was glad not to have it. This place was truly a nice break from my work day life.

Perfect house and excellent location for accessing the Mt. Rogers NRA trails and gravel bike network. The beds were comfortable, living space larger than it looks in pictures, and everything was clean. I loved the grounds as well, and it was super quiet all the time. A variety of birds fluttered above soft grass and fields of. . . something. Idyllic!

Very quiet, convenient location to Grayson Highland Park and Grayson Highland Cafe. Property internally and externally is immaculate and very adorably decorated. We loved seeing all the critters on the property and waking up to birdsong. Lovely view of mountains from front lawn.

The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We are on the upper end of the valley with spectacular views and sunrises. Deer, chipmunk's, rabbits, squirrels, many bird species are regular visitors. The neighbors are friendly and outdoor lovers.

The house is built with multiple native woods and has a unique charm and character. The atmosphere of the house is comfortable, comfortable and more comfortable. The house is set off the road a distance to allow privacy. Wild life viewing is easy throughout the house. The established landscaping adds to the charm.
