The house 1 queen bed/1 bath/1 twin daybed, full kitchen with Washer and Dryer, desk, lamp and power supply for computer with USB inputs to charge your phones and tablets, closet and pets are welcome.

The neighborhood is quiet, fully furnished with comfortable & cute decor and is located close to downtown and many area attractions. Bedroom has been sound proofed and for a quiet night sleep. Have had issues with exterior noise and this has made a huge difference.
The space
When you arrive, there will be fresh whole bean Cameron's brand coffee waiting for you to grind and brew, as well as bottled water.

This home was perfect for my husband, corgi sized dog, and myself! This is an older home that can be drafty however, the gas wall heaters work exceptionally well! We even had to turn down the one in the bedroom at night because my husband who tends to get cold easily was too warm. Next day was 80s and ac window units worked well too. The floors are bare, not fully finished wood, so house shoes/slippers would be a good idea. Bed is a little bit lower to the floor so if you have a hard time getting up and down, that's something to be aware of.Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, dining table seats 4 and worked well for me to get some work done with my laptop & extra screen. There is a coffee pot with a coffee grinder full of coffee beans if you're a coffee drinker. We didn't need to contact the owner much, only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 is my original question about if there was a fenced yard or not was never answered. There is not a fenced yard and not much by way of sidewalks. That wasn't a big deal for us since we'd have to take our dog out on a leash every time if we were in a hotel, but is info that can help with planning/packing what we need for the dog. We also just walked through the edge of the yards without a sidewalk, as close to the curb as we could, and picked up after our dog, without any issues & the neighbor we saw didn't seem to mind.Overall great experience. We will definitely try to stay here for future trips to Abilene!!

I can’t say enough good things about our stay. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt an immediate sense of comfort—like we were stepping into a place that was thoughtfully prepared just for us.The house was spotless, warm, and inviting, with little details that made a big difference: cozy blankets, soft lighting, a well-stocked kitchen, and beds that were unbelievably comfortable after long days out and about. It’s clear the hosts put real pride into this home.The neighborhood was peaceful, and we loved having a quiet spot to come back to at the end of each day. It was close to everything we needed, but still felt tucked away enough to relax.What impressed me most was how easy and stress-free everything was. Check-in was simple, communication was excellent, and the hosts were genuinely thoughtful—quick to answer questions and clearly dedicated to making sure guests feel welcome.This wasn’t just a place to stay; it was a place we looked forward to waking up in and coming back to. We’ve stayed in a lot of rentals over the years, but this one stands out because it actually felt like home.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Abilene.

We LOVED our stay! This house has an " old farmhouse" feel that brought back a lot of wonderful childhood memories. Daniel was an excellent and kind host. We would definitely come back!

Nice little place. No hair dryer. Bed and toliet are very low. My husband could not get off either without help. Not for old people who have difficulty getting up from low surfaces.

Everything was very good at the house. Could use some TLC, but it was exactly what we needed. My only complaint was the TV - only used Amazon fire stick, and I needed a local channel which I was not able to find. No instructions for tv use. Host was very responsive when we needed assistance with the heater. Thank you!!

Great value for the price! Owner was very responsive to messages and let me check in early. AC works great. Home had a lot of fragrances, maybe to mask the odor of pets.

No central a/c, small window units through out the home that weren’t really cooling. Pet hairs all over the beds. Day bed in living area had dead bugs on top of the pet hair. The home was saturated in a strong urine odor. Had to leave and find another place to stay. Unfortunately I did not take photos…I panicked and started making calls looking for availability/vacancy in hotels. I needed somewhere to get to fast after a long day of clinicals and needed to settle in to complete homework asap.

It definitely needs new chairs on the front porch because you can't sit on them. It would be a great accommodation to have a grill. It was so peaceful and so comfortable I will come back.

Great one bedroom house!

Great one bedroom house! My husband, son and I stayed here for one night and this was a great house for us! Great communication with owner and easy check in/out process.

Not what I expected

Big screen in master bedroom doesn’t work so don’t expect to watch tv from room. Didn’t communicate well about check in time so I found a strange encounter with man cleaning. I left one night early and found another option.
