La Ranchita is a stunning horse ranch on the Central Coast surrounded by open acreage just outside of Arroyo Grande. Wake up to the sound of horses grazing, birds chirping, and unprecedented views of the Huasna Valley.

Situated amongst the finest wineries in San Luis Obispo, about 25-30 minutes from the beautiful town of Arroyo Grande, 25 minutes to Lake Lopez, and located on a stunning 167 acre horse ranch. There are views for miles from all areas of the house.

We are available 24/7 for local suggestions and to make your stay at La Ranchita memorable.

Working horse ranch in the serene countryside

Horse Trainer resides on property. You can contact us to request trail riding excursions or a riding lesson during your stay. We also provide yoga for an additional fee. We have various options that we offer to both children and adults.

The house at La Ranchita is fully furnished with a gourmet kitchen (fully stocked with cookware) and BBQ (gas grill) for all your culinary needs! There is a coffee maker and plenty of coffee and condiments, as well as a variety of teas.

House is two bedrooms, 3 beds that sleep 2 people and two bathrooms. We do have an air mattress available for additional guests. Washer/Dryer also available for use during your stay. The hot tub is situated in the back area and has stunning views of the entire valley. There is also a fenced backyard and we welcome your well behaved pets. My family and I had a wonderful stay at La Ranchita over the weekend to celebrate my son's graduation from Cal Poly. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the peaceful, beautiful surroundings—quiet, serene, and just what we needed to unwind.The kitchen was a true highlight—modern, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed to cook and enjoy meals together. It was a joy to spend time there.The bathroom was another standout feature—spa-like in every sense. The luxurious touches and relaxing atmosphere made it feel like a retreat within a retreat.Though it’s about 20-30 minutes from town, we actually appreciated the distance—it gave us the perfect balance of privacy and accessibility. It was close enough for a quick trip in for supplies or dining, but far enough to feel like we were truly away from it all.Overall, this home offered the perfect combination of comfort, style, and tranquility. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape.
