Oceanfront House-Sleeps 8-10 Rec Room and Theater Room

Our home is oceanfront in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. It is an older style cottage built in the 1940's and we added a third floor and renovated in 2003. Complete renovation in spring 2020.

There are great views with beautiful porches and decks overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. In the Spring of 2008, the ground floor was added to the rental making it a full house rental. Full kitchen was renovated on middle floor in 2011 with dishwasher and garbage disposal. All new appliances in 2020. Two master suites with mini fridge and coffee/tea bar in one. Bathrooms in the old part of the cottage were renovated with new tile showers in 2016.

The ground floor does have a separate entrance into a game room with a pool table. We recently added a spiral staircase leading to the middle floor. This floor has one queen bedroom and full bath. A theater room is located on the ground floor with a big screen smart TV, popcorn machine and fridge. A new front loading washer and dryer were added to this floor in 2020. There is a queen air mattress that can be used in the theater room to sleep 2 children.

The middle floor has a full kitchen and family room with a recently renovated open floor plan, one queen bedroom, and one full bathroom. The living area has a smart tv and a game/puzzle table and sectional sofa. The dining area has a large table with seating for 8-10., and additional bar seating for two. The kitchen is fully stocked and offers a large pantry area and adequate workspace. There is a wonderful open porch with rockers and a table/chairs for eating or playing games. There are two outdoor showers; an open shower on the walkway from the beach to rinse off sand, and a closed hot and cold shower to enjoy your daily shower.

The top floor has two large oceanfront King master suites with private baths. Each bedroom opens onto the top porch with a porch swing and loungers. You DO have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the interior stairs. There are exterior stairs off the porch as well.

The house will sleep 8 people in beds and two more on an air mattress.

This house is located on the north end of Carolina Beach, a quieter and more relaxing part of the beach. The Boardwalk, fishing pier and charter boats are all within walking distance. Enjoy the many restaurants, kid's activities, and just strolling on the beach! Bike, chair, umbrella and boat rentals are all within one mile of the house. There is a private deck and walkway to the beach, a brick grill and fireplace to cook out, and everything you need to have a wonderful relaxing vacation! There are free summer concerts each month, Sunday night family movies at the lake, Thursday night fireworks, as well as a wonderful Seafood Blues and Jazz Festival in October.

The NC Aquarium is a short drive as well as the USS NC Battleship Memorial and historic Wilmington! You can take a beautiful 30 minute ferry ride from Fort Fisher, just a few miles away, to Southport, another historic and beautiful town on the water. There are wonderful restaurants and antique shops in historic Southport. Come and enjoy our wonderful vacation home! We vacation there too, so you can count on it being well kept!

*****Please note that this property is an older style beach cottage from the 1940’s, with fairly small rooms and bathrooms. There are no electrical outlets in the older bathrooms. If you do not want a cozy vacation property, this is not the house for you.
