Discover the town's history with Historic Walking Tours map and visit antebellum cemeteries.
Lovely bicycle route.
The back porch and patio provide a lovely view of the historic Immaculate Conception Church with it's lovely church bells chiming.
A front porch swing affords enjoyment of ancient oaks and the possible visit with friendly neighbors.
Enjoy interesting day trips to many of Acadiana festivals or events.
Upon request a local chef will prepare a real Cajun gumbo or Jambalaya for you and/or a local home may prepare a breakfast.

Quiet & Peaceful

My daughter and I were in Washington to attend a bridal shower. We were very comfortable during our stay. Loved sitting on the front and back porch listening to the church bells.

Quaint Cottage

The home was very clean in a quiet section of town. In close walking distant to antique shops. The upgrades to bathrooms were very nice. We stayed at an unusually cold time and even thought the house is older, it stayed very warm with the central heat. The host answered us immediately and everything was very inviting. We would definitely stay here again.

Easter Vacation

This was a home away from home! Plenty of room for all of us and my family that came in from all over for Easter to visit! It was comfortable, cozy, homey and a great location to hop on the interstate and get where you needed to go quickly!! We brought family from the Midwest to enjoy some Cajun cuisine and southern hospitality and that is exactly what we received from this charming Acadian style home! Ms. Liz didn't miss a a thing with providing the comforts of home! We had a houseful for Easter and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and feel comfortable and right at home! Thank you for a great place to stay and providing the perfect backdrop from some wonderful family memories that will last us a lifetime!! Love Tammy,Tomas and Teresa

Quaint historic home in a lovely area

As a lifelong Louisiana citizen, I had never heard of Washington. So glad I found this historic gem of a town!

Historic Charm

Elizabeth was so kind to have mailed us the walking tour brochure prior to our stay. She provided ample coffee and cream for our morning routine and the place was clean and comfortable. It was great to walk the town in the mornings and take in the well kept historic homes in the neighborhood. We will stay again on our next visit to the area.

Amazing!!

Wow! I'm extremely emotional as I write this review because there were so many great moments and memories made and simply put amazing awesome hosts. When Elizabeth mentioned she's a text and/or phone call away, she was extremely serious. Elizabeth left notes and a guest book that addressed all the FAQs as well as little tokens of hospitality all around. The front porch and back porch was where we shared and experienced our best memories. We even saw a red cardinal and a blue jay in the backyard. This historical home screamed comfy, homey, stay forever, in a convenient location, and walking distance to antique shops and stores. Honestly, it's too much to express, we were pleasantly surprised. I recommend you book a stay, and create your own memories and 5 Star review.
