The space
This welcoming guest room is clean, safe and bright (until you close your curtains), and then it transforms into a warm, romantic, restful space. You will open your floor to ceiling glass garden-facing doors to the sound of the waves crashing against the sand, feel the warmth of the sun kiss your face, and hear the splash of the water fountain right outside your door. You have a private bathroom that has a petite sink, glass triangle shower, and toilet with bidet spray. From your room's door to our warm sparkling black sand beach is only a short walk. Comfortable soft organic linens wrap the queen size bed. Hungry? Just walk down the hallway to the restaurant, or order room service and keep the relaxation going. Feeling tense? Our incredibly talented massage therapists will work that tension right out of you. You can choose deep tissue, soft touch, Balinese, or reflexology massage. You can have it all. Laundry, classes, tours, food, scooter rentals… we have everything you need. From the moment you pull into our gated resort, to checking in, you will feel your shoulders drop and the stress just melt away.

We have a complete food menu and room service available that is just a phone call away. The pool and bar is right out the main back door, making it very convenient. You are welcome to join us in the restaurant and socialize or we can also have food delivered to your room. You can pre order a romantic dinner with candlelight and all accessories for a romantic dining experience under the stars, for a small fee. Hours for the kitchen are from 8 am to 9 pm. Breakfast is not included in your stay but it is delicious and we suggest you order it.
The property is right on the beach, so we suggest taking some reflective walks to explore and connect.
Spa services. We also have a relaxing spa on the property. We know you will enjoy our massages, facials, pedicures and manicures. You can order massages inside the spa, massages in your room, and massages right on the deck that is on the beach. You will feel the ocean breeze, and the waves crashing right in front of you. It’s pure magic!
We also offer on-property laundry services. Just put the items in the laundry bags, and within a day we will have them back to you.
Want to get out and explore? We have scooter rentals for daily use. We can also order a car for you if you prefer being inside a vehicle. Please remember to get your international driver's license before you rent from us. It will be mandatory to show before receiving the keys.

Beside having your private room, feel free to explore the rest of our property, including the infinity-pool area, lush gardens, relaxing brick patio at the beach, pool table, bar, restaurant, and fountains.
This may not be like where you are coming from. To enhance your experience we want to provide you with a bit of cultural context. People can feel disappointed when they try to make Bali what they are familiar with. We hope by describing a few scenarios that this helps as Bali has things about it that may be very different than you are used to.
No illegal drugs on property are allowed.
No nudity is allowed on property.
We are on the Ocean, so safety is the responsibility of the guest.
Children must be with their parents while on the property ages 12 and under.
13 years old and up can travel the property unaccompanied if approved by their parents.
NO SMOKING in shared guest areas. IE: pool, restaurant, bar, or inside the buildings. For your comfort and the comfort of other guests, we kindly request that smoking is limited to your private terrace only. We ask that you do NOT smoke in the room or use any fire for safety reasons.
Pool table and other shared activity areas are on a first come first serve basis. Please limit your time to 45 minutes if other guests are waiting to use the shared activities.
Restaurant hours are 8 am to 9 pm. Last call for orders will be 9 pm.
Bar hours are 8 am to 11 pm.
Please be respectful of your neighbors and keep the sound on all devices low while in your room or in shared public areas.

We are on the ocean, so if you fall, swim, surf or bodyboard, you are responsible for you and any repercussions from your decisions are yours. We expect you to manage any risks associated with this stay yourself.
This is a unique place and is not for everyone. It is on the ocean, tropical living at its best but with that comes nature in all its glory. Things to note: This is an apartment style shared space, so the walls can be the same as a hotel. If you or your neighbor are loud, someone will hear it. Just be respectful. Some people have asked about security. It is very secluded and very safe. We are a gated property and the area is very safe as well. There is a lockable safe in your room, so you can protect your valuables. We have staff available to assist you and ensure you have what you need at all times. You will be very well cared for.
One of our rooms is open air. That means that the walls do not connect to the ceiling. You get the full ocean breeze at all times. Sleeping in nature is something most of us don't do as we sleep in sealed rooms. It can be transformative to sleep in a natural setting, open to the cool night air, listening to the crickets and chirping geckos, the sounds of the nearby ocean waves, with the fireflies glittering in the night. Don't let the openness of the space deter you, this is an experience you won't soon forget. But there will be geckos, ants, and local bugs who may sometimes get into any of the rooms. That will be anywhere you stay in Bali. Anywhere. Even 5 star hotels. We are designed for the adventurous nature-oriented traveler in mind. If you prefer a sealed-up air conditioned room, please make sure to book one of our closed rooms.
1. “There is a lizard staring at me from the ceiling who pooped on the floor and there are ants crawling along the wall in the bathroom”. The outdoors will come inside. Crickets, spiders, and certainly a resident gecko and wasps will all join you in your living space. No matter how fancy the villa there is no keeping them out. Given that some of our spaces are open air this is something to embrace as part of the experience and not be afraid of, as they are all harmless.
2. “I can hear roosters and dogs and the ocean is roaring, oh and the crickets are too loud to sleep.” Yes indeed, all true. When I think of Bali I think of roosters, they are very proud of their fighting cocks and spend a great deal of time with them, often keeping them quite close to living spaces so your neighbor may very well have one. Peaceful Bali? Well it's all a matter of perspective. Bali is here to be itself. Enjoy these new and unique sounds as part of the atmosphere and don't expect it to be a photo, it is a real living place.
3. “An old lady with a machete and no shirt just wandered by the pool”. Balinese have a very different relationship to personal privacy than we do. It is not uncommon for neighbors, beach walkers or rice-field farms to wander into your space. Because they are curious about you or simply because they want to borrow your sugar. They may not even ask as they would imagine you would do exactly the same. This can be very startling at first and takes some getting used to. You are welcome to ask them to leave but do keep in mind they are more than likely not there to harm you, just used to sharing personal space.
4. “There are naked people fishing in the ocean”. It wasn't very many years ago that all Balinese women were topless as their normal daily attire. Now only the traditional older women still maintain this style of dress, but it is still very common to see people publicly bathing in ricefields streams or the ocean naked. Don’t be alarmed, this is normal here and they will not even feel embarrassed if you wave.
5. “The guy tried to overcharge me”. There is a very different relationship to money here. Think of it as a tug of war with a rope in the middle. It’s not that they are trying to steal from you or cheat you or have anything against you at all, they are just pulling on the rope to get as much money as they can. If you don’t tug back, then they won. Don’t get angry or feel the need to have hurt feelings, just negotiate calmly to lower the price to something fairer. Negotiate everything in every situation.
6. “Everything is damp”. Yes, this is the tropics and especially during the rainy season everything can feel a bit damp and can mildew quickly even within a day. If your clothes need fresh laundering after being in a suitcase or if the sheets need to be changed for this reason just let us know and we will assist you.
