Discover a rare find in downtown Hickory, NC! This charming 1929 craftsman cottage is your pet-friendly home away from home. Comfortably sleeping guests in 2 bedrooms plus a sofa bed, it features a cozy living room and amazing outdoor spaces including a front porch, covered back deck, and a fire pit. Perfect for families or small groups seeking a unique and convenient stay just steps from the best of Hickory.

We believe in giving our guests complete privacy to enjoy their stay. We will not be present at the property, but we are always available and just a message or phone call away should you need anything at all during your visit.

Guests will have exclusive and private access to the entire home, including all indoor and outdoor spaces. Enjoy the convenience of a private entrance and seamless self check-in using a secure keypad, allowing you to arrive at your leisure any time after check-in.

Step into Southern Charm, a delightful 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cottage built in 1929 that blends historical character with modern comfort. The cozy living room features a large sectional sofa, perfect for relaxing, and also includes a sofa bed for additional sleeping arrangements.

The home's true highlight is its abundant outdoor living spaces. Enjoy your morning coffee on the welcoming front porch, dine al fresco on the spacious covered back deck, or gather for an evening under the stars around the fire pit on the large backyard patio.

To ensure a comfortable and convenient stay, we provide:
* Fully equipped kitchen with both drip and Keurig style coffee machines
* A pack-n-play for travelers with young children
* Outdoor BBQ grill
* On-site washer and dryer

We want to ensure your stay is perfect. Please take note of the following:
* Pet-Friendly Policy: We love welcoming your furry friends! Please notify us at the time of booking if you plan to bring a pet.
* A maximum of two (2) pets are permitted.
* Each pet must be under 50 lbs.
* Family-Friendly: A pack-n-play is available on-site for your convenience.

Beautiful neighborhood

I have stayed here twice in 2 years and brought my dog both times. Great yard for him to play frisbee and lovely little quiet neighborhood for walks. Very close to LR University which my daughter goes to.

It Really is a Charming home

explored Hickory

The house was perfectly situated for me to explore areas in and around Hickory. Quick and easy 5 minute drive to Hickory Lake Park to walk my dog and ride my bike on the off-road trails. 20 minute drive to Bakers Park and Riverbend Park for more trail walking. House was pleasantly cooled with a/c, ceiling fans above the bed, and the mattress comfortable provided for a great nights sleep.

Loved the charming house. The backyard, back deck, firepit and views were show stealers. The house clean and had everything we needed to enjoy a visit with our college student.

Quaint and Comfortable

Perfect Location

Everything was terrific for our stay! We spent a few nights here while my Lenoir-Rhyne student son recovered from a surgery. It was the perfect place for our needs; comfortable, very quiet and very close to the University, hospitals and all amenities. The neighborhood is lovely, and you’ll spot lots of friendly walkers, runners and dog-walkers. I 100% recommend this home!

Really nothing special. Furniture in back was thrown all around. Nothing was set up. Dirty ashtrays sitting on tables in back and front of home. Ants in bathroom. It wasn’t as pleasant as we thought it would be. Some of the towels looked dirty etc. very surprising.

Visit college daughter

My father and I and my dog stayed at the cottage to visit my daughter who attends LR for a track meet. The beds were super comfy. My dog loved the yard to play frisbee and round around.
