Great balcony right on the water. Hearing the ocean right in your back yard. Photos provided in advertisement doesn’t do it justice. So much larger and beautiful in person, even at night with the moon shining on the water.

This property is perfectly located. It's on the 4th floor overlooking a cove where you can see 3 or more turtles at any given moment. It's right next door to The Beach House restaurant, which is wonderful for dinner or Happy Hour (that includes live entertainment). It's also close to a beach which is great for launching a snorkel and close to shopping and restaurants. The host is incredibly helpful with information and instructions, and she checks in by email to make sure you're doing OK. It has great technology (flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom plus high-speed internet), a well-stocked kitchen, and a perfect lawn for watching the sunset. We will certainly book this unit again!

Great location in Poipu-saw turtles right outside our condo every day. Condo was very clean, bed was comfortable and kitchen was stocked with everything we could ask for. The beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and cooler were an added bonus. A great place for a quiet, relaxing vacation in Kauai!

View from our Lanai. Beautiful view and the sea turtles there are amazing. You can snorkel there as we did and they are not afraid of you. It’s a rocky entrance into the water, but worth the effort to see the turtles

Everything worked well, the sunrise was stunning, the locale is best on the Island, parking was a breeze, the best snorkeling beach was steps away and the Owner communication was ahead of any question we might have had.

We had a lovely week at Nancy’s wonderful condo. Location was great. 3 minutes away from many fantastic restaurants and shops. Perfect ocean view from the lanai. She was very responsive to any questions we had.

Very nice place to stay. It was easy to access activities from this location. Property is clean and comfortable and owners are great with responding to questions. We saw sea turtles and seals off the lanai!

Perfect spot in Poipu!

This place was a perfect spot for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. Every morning eating breakfast on the Lanai, listening to the waves at night. This condo was in a quiet spot with access to shopping, restaurants, and multiple beaches. We often sat down with crowd in front of the condo building watching the surfers and seeing the sun set. We had 0 problems during our stay and can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Gorgeous view!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Kauai condo! Lots of natural light and we loved sitting on the balcany watching turtles swim around in the cove. My husband did a bit of snorkeling around the property as well! Everything was comfy and the location was great! We loved eating at the adjacent Beach House and watching the sunset. Would love to come back!!

We loved our stay! The balcony view is stunning, the space is large with lots of natural light, and it is a great location, with a quick walk to the beach. We are so glad we picked a place with A/C. The host was quick to respond to our questions an accommodating. We would stay here again!

Amazing view and great location

We loved staying at this condo and appreciated all of the time and attention Nancy gave to making sure our trip was amazing. She was so great to tell us if restaurants and outings we could do. We had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again. It was beyond our expectations!

Beautiful condo in a great location

Everything was clean and comfy. We loved the view and the recliners in the living room were so nice to sit and watch the water. Nancy was great at responding quickly to our questions. Will definitely be coming back!

Absolutely perfect!

Where do I start? From the moment we booked with Nancy (the owner), we felt welcomed! She contacted me and made sure everything went smoothly. This is our second time staying in this particular condominium property. The first time, we stayed on the opposite end, penthouse corner overlooking the surfers and restaurant. It was an incredible view, but way too loud (between the people from the restaurant and the loud pounding surf). Nancy’s unit overlooks the serene blue ocean with mountain views as well…both breathtaking! The bedroom is in the back, so you hear the waves, but it’s a gentle soothing sound with the trade winds cooling us off at night! No need for air conditioning (but it’s available if needed). The condominium is perfectly located with great shopping and restaurants nearby. There is a beach you just walk to and the blow hole is right around the corner! We enjoyed golfing three times at a beautiful course, hiked twice on opposite ends of the island, and loved each morning’s sunrise and sunset! The condo is well equipped with everything you need, including beach chairs and large beach towels. One of our favorite things was sitting on the lanai each day, sipping coffee and watching the many sea turtles right from our balcony! We also enjoyed a spectacular show of whales breaching each day! We loved our stay so much; we can’t wait to book this exact place again soon! Thank you for sharing your beautiful and magical home with us, Nancy and Doug!

Very Disappointing - Misleading Description & Owner Urged No Review Unless it was 5-Star

My previous stays at Kuhio Shores were wonderful, but this unit fell short of expectations. The property description was misleading in multiple ways: Bedroom-We did not see or hear the ocean from the bedroom as advertised; it is close to parking lot and near a busy restaurant, not the "quiet location" advertised; not a "master" bedroom nor "retreat", bathroom across the hall; blankets appear worn; no extra sheets. (FYI, small coin laundry room closes at 9 p.m.) Amenities- Sparse and low quality "starter basics” (e.g., very diluted hand soap, very thin toilet paper; “spices provided” were only salt and pepper, no aluminum foil) When we requested clean sheets, our needs were not met. Overall, the experience did not align with the property description nor meet the "luxury" standard advertised. In addition, the owner sent an unsolicited email (on checkout day) and here is an excerpt: “If you feel a 5-Star review is not appropriate, instead of writing a review, … Please give me the opportunity to accommodate you…. Again, thank you for not writing a review.” There were additional messages telling us it is best not to write a review. I provided the full email to VRBO.
