The space
Pull into our quiet village neighborhood and you'll find our historic colonial home. Head into your private side entrance and check out the kitchenette equipped with all the conveniences you'll need during your stay - microwave, mini fridge, and coffee bar.

Peak into the colorful vintage full bathroom with shower then enter the living room. Enjoy a bright bohemian styled living space with hardwood floors and a Smart Roku TV. The comfortable sofa pulls out to a queen sized bed for an extra sleeping space. Wide glass doors let in plenty of light and lead out to a shared deck space to take in the sunshine.

Open the french doors in the living room and you'll find yourself in the spacious bedroom with queen sized memory foam mattress. Take advantage of the desk space for remote work or use it as a place to get ready for a night out in the village. The closet is stocked with plenty of gear to make a stay with kids easy - pack and play, stroller, high chair, and others available upon request!

A Couple Notes
- Our family lives in the upstairs unit so you might hear the pitter patter of little feet. You will have total privacy as the apartment is a separate unit but the backyard is a shared space.
- We offer driveway parking to our guests May-Oct and street parking Nov-April.

Wonderful Stay!

Perfect stay for husband, wife, adult daughter and 3 YO granddaughter! Very clean and comfortable, with excellent communication and assistance from Host (Rachel). We enjoyed the convenient location and quaint area and would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, Convenient, Cozy and Carefree

This was a wonderful location and stay for mysef and my best friend. We were able to check out and visit nearby locations with ease and return to the quaint town and rental. The space was impeccably clean and thoughtfully stocked. Communication with our hosts was ease and quick. I highly recommend!

Thanksgiving apartment

This was perfect place for us while visiting family for the holiday. Just a short walk to the shops and eateries and the train to Boston when we weren't with family.

Perfect cottage for two

My daughter and I were here for an extended weekend to experience Salem and do a college tour--the cottage was perfect for both of us. Great location, super walkable to town, the train, groceries, and restaurants. Highly recommend--wonderful communication with the owner, super clean, and it was well-appointed for our getaway.

Quiet Lovely Stay

Sweet Suite

We were in Manchester for just a few days, and the suite was perfect - centrally located, quiet, and well-equipped for our short stay. We were able to walk to the shops, the parks, and the train station in minutes.

Lovely space for a quick get away

We had a wonderful winter weekend get away! Manchester-by-the-sea is a beautiful town and the Suite by the Sea was equally as beautiful. It was perfect for the two of us. Being able to walk to town for groceries, dinner and a crisp walk to Singing Beach was a plus. All in all, we had a nice relaxing time at Suite by the Sea and we will be back again.

Trip to Massachusetts to celebrate Halloween

We had a great time in Salem. We were so happy we decide to stay in Manchester by the Sea. It allowed us to get ourselves away from the hustle and bustle of Salem. Manchester by the Sea is such a cute New England seaside town. We found the stay charming and found new restaurants we loved.

Adorable property- great location!

Manchester-by-the-Sea is a very special place to visit with very limited accommodation options. I highly recommend this adorable property located in town and close to everything. I normally never stay in an apartment shared by the owner, but you should make an exception for this special place. I had privacy and felt at home. Yes, you can hear all the walking upstairs, but it did not bother me. Bring ear plugs if you are sleeping in. It is difficult to drag your bags through the back yard with pavers/dirt, I would bring a carry bag VS a roller bag ( you will need to carry your bags through the yard and up a small flight of stairs to access the property) .

Endicott Parent’s Weekend

What a great VRBO in the cutest town! This was a quick 10 minute drive from Endicott. No traffic and lots of beautiful fall foliage. Everything was exactly as listed. It was extremely clean and had everything you would need. It was a quick walk to lots of shops and restaurants. We had a delicious dinner at Antique Table-Italian. The owners were extremely informative. We did not have any questions or problems. I would absolutely recommend this to Endicott parents or anyone looking for a quaint Fall getaway. I would 100% stay here again!

Great spot in a great town!

Great location in a super cute town. Walkable to the shops and restaurants. Close to the train to go into Boston or Salem. Manchester is an awesome little town, very scenic and we loved just walking around and looking at the historic houses The place is great, enough room for 3 of us. Kitchen is great for snacks/coffee. The family live above it and it can be noisy. Not a big deal most of the time but early in the morning isn’t ideal. Just something to note if you’re sensitive to that. Otherwise it’s awesome, we would love to go back!

A beautiful, beachy abode.

Overall we (a group of 3 adults) enjoyed our stay here very much. The place is beautifully decorated, just as pictured, and very close to the central area of town - no more than 3-5 minutes walking. The walk to the beach is a bit of a hike if you’re carrying too much or have mobility issues, but it’s not hard otherwise. The town is very picturesque and Singing Beach can’t be beat (just be prepared to pay - in cash - to walk on). We had a few hiccups with the sofa bed that the host was responsive to. You can definitely tell that the property is inhabited by a family with young children, which we didn’t find to be disruptive (the listing mentions footsteps overhead which we did notice early in the mornings, but we didn’t mind, and there are many children’s toys strewn about the yard). The outside area is not quite as gorgeous as the interior, but if you plan to be spending most of your time on the beach it is a wonderful place to stay!

Lovely Manchester by the Sea

My daughters and I were planning a trip to Salem and it was a bit last minute. I knew we didn't want to stay in a hotel or stay in Salem so I started looking around. This was our first trip to the area. We couldn't have landed in a better town to stay in. The walkability of Manchester by the Sea is wonderful - we could walk for breakfast, dinner, the water, groceries. We loved that aspect of it. It was a quick drive to Salem for the days we wanted to go - also went to Essex and Gloucester. It was the perfect central location. The place we rented was perfect for what we needed. The property is smaller than some I looked at, but we didn't need much room. So cute and it was so cozy. There is only a kitchenette, but we ate out most of our visit, so didn't need much of a kitchen either. This is disclosed in the property details. Beautifully decorated and very clean. It was like a place you'd want your first apartment to be. Easy to get to and we were there during the times that the driveway could be used - that was nice. We had intended on using the train while there because it is so close, but ended up just driving everywhere. Communication from our hosts was excellent - quick to answer and very informative. A++. If I ever visited the area again with a smaller group or by myself, I would definitely stay again!!

Missed Expectations

Overall the place is pretty and in a quiet neighborhood. The place is well furnished and cozy. But there were something things that made our stay not favorable. One, all of the doors were pretty worn out around the locking mechanism and it took about 15 minutes for me to lock one of the doors. One of the doors was left ajar as we entered which is unsettling. The day we were to check-in we were informed that the owners have small children upstairs and they run around. We did not expect jumping and running until 11pm and starting back up at 6am both nights. Also this place does not have a private outside space. It's shared with the owners and their children. Check-in was also strange when the neighbor yelled out his window at us telling us we were in the wrong place, when we were in the right place. I think if I had know about the kids before all of my money was paid down it wouldve came into my decision of selecting this place.
