Spacious 3 bedroom ranch home with large back deck overlooking a pond on lower part of the property. Feels like you are in the mountains while being in city limits. 8 miles to downtown Hickory and 30 miles from Blowing Rock / Blue Ridge Parkway.

Overall the house is nice. Well laid out and comfortable. We did contact the owner because it was not clean. Shower and bathroom vanity were dirty. Used towel and tshirt left in closet, beds made without mattress pads, extra bedding just tossed in closets. Furniture had not recently been dusted. Laundry is in unfinished basement. This place has potential but owner needs to show more attention to detail. Owner did refund cleaning fee after we explained the problems.

Wonderful place to stay

The location is very quiet with nice views of trees and a pond from the deck. Well equipped with everything we needed. It provided a perfect place for my two sisters and me to enjoy a few restful days together while visiting family and friends in the area.

Grandson wedding went great and was close by 15 minutes.

House is modern and nice quiet area. Reasonable amenities. Not fully cleaned from previous guest/Bathroom outlets did not work/unable to grill out as no propane/MBR tv did not work/stained mattress.

Nice place to stay, but no hot tub

The property was very nice and I'd stay there again, but don't believe the amenities, there isn't a hot tub. Also the front door was almost impossible to lock and unlock. We had to come up with a poor work around so we knew we could get back in the house each time we left.

Almost Perfect

We checked in a day late and checked out two days early. When we arrived the bathroom needed a lot of cleaning- the shower curtain was covered in mold and mildew. The beds had a sheet and one blanket- not enough for late winter.Our friend sat on the edge of the bed in BR#2 and the slat collapsed.Otherwise, the house was nice. A little spartan, but 90% good.

Granite Falls house

The house wasn’t clean when we arrived. The hardwood floors were dirty. We killed 3 spiders when we arrived and finished cleaning house. The garbage cans outside were full and we had no where to put trash. The yard hadn’t been mowed, it was high. My grandson was graduating high school and also getting his associates degree at same time. We had a gathering for family that lived around there and owner showed up with 2 other guys and wanted to know why all cars were there and make sure no one besides who I said was staying there. My husband and I and our 2 grandsons were booked to stay there and the family that came for hamburgers and hotdogs live in Hudson NC 4 miles down the road. He was not pleasant. I have stayed in rental houses for years twice a year to visit family and never had to deal with someone like this. I wouldn’t recommend this house to anyone. Coming from Florida it was a bad experience.
