We had a great vacation . House was very clean upon our arrival ! Enough space for everyone . Enjoyed the pool and the hot tub . Parking for the beach was only a shot distance . Having a pool to use right off the parking area was nice . Will rent here again for sure .

Nice house, awful property management

Property is listed as check-in at 4. But beware, the final contract will say 4-6pm. We were a party of 9, two dogs, one child with diabetes, who needed his medication refrigerated. We were finally allowed to enter at 5:40pm after numerous calls to property management. The house cleaners didn't arrive until 5:55 pm. Property Management has still never returned calls or emails. The kitchen was stocked well with cookware, plates, etc. but there are no other basics (extra toilet paper, paper towels, cleaners, blow dryer etc.) so be prepared to bring everything. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. The pictures look like the yard is enclosed but it isn't so we still had to leash our dogs. Nice neighborhood and proximity to the beach

It had a hammock, grill, volleyball net, pool, hot tub, bikes, beach chairs... We loved it! Didn't have a fence for the dog but had the well-maintained bushes which was perfect for him. We would love to be able to come back here yearly!!!

I've never been to a vacation home that was so well stocked with everything one would need, including baby equipment.. Although not on the beach it was only 1 block away from off roading with a full wheel drive, which we did . The only negative was the noisy young adults that rented next door, which is no fault of Puppy Love owner... Our family also came down with the stomach virus so I do recommend to bring Lysol spray & anti disinfectant wipes to go over all touchable things.Remember this goes for any house you rent. Although the house is very clean there are always lingering germs.. This is a beautiful home with a well kept pool & hot tub for all to enjoy & yes we would absolutely rent again....

Very much appreciated the amenities.. tennis, pools, gym etc. The house accommodated us well and we were so happy to have our dog with us! The night we arrived there was a swarm of midges around the house. I've been coming to OBX for 5 years and have never seen anything like it! Thankfully it never happened again. However there were bugs at every turn, stuck to everything! Then the spiders came out to eat the midges and they were everywhere. Why don't the management companies schedule a power wash half way through the summer? As an August renter I feel unappreciated. The same is true for the overall cleaning of the house. While the house was acceptable, it was not as clean as I would expect considering the steep $450 fee and pet fee on top of that. One of the coffee pots had been stashed in a lower cabinet full of an old coffee filter that had turned moldy. Disgusting. I am sure July renters don't encounter that. The best part of the house is the grass yard. It is beautiful and we had many corn hole and volleyball matches. Sadly, one of the biggest down sides was the pool. They installed a very tall fence for privacy I assume, but there is no air flow or breeze, ever. There was also a big wasp problem. The management team knew about it because there was wasp spray right next to the pool. My son was stung twice the last couple of days we were there, so not sure we will return to this property. It made using the pool and hot tub virtually impossible. I don't mean to sound whiny because we did have a great time. I just appreciate detailed reviews myself. Overall, it's a great house, great location but better maintenance is recommended if you want to continue to charge as much as the ocean side does. I was also disappointed we were never notified on check-in time. The description says 4pm, but then they changed it to 6pm. And yet, we felt rushed out with maintenance waiting in the driveway for us to leave.

The house is spacious enough for everyone to enjoy each other’s company then have peace and quiet when they wanted. The house could use a few updates with furniture and the weeds around the pool could have been taken care of but it didn’t make our stay less enjoyable.The kitchen is well stocked and the dog loved running around the beautiful landscaped yard.The biggest downfall of the trip was waiting to get in the house. I know checkin isn’t until 4 but we drove all day with elderly parents and dogs. Waiting hours to get in the house is simply exhausting. Next time I will pay the extra fee for early check in.

Perfect home away from home

This home was exactly what we needed. Perfect layout to allow for family time and private time. Plenty of parking. The pool was great. We enjoyed riding bikes, playing games, and cooking in the beautifully appointed kitchen. We even got to drive our parents on the beach all the way to the Virginia border. It was just the right amount of disconnected, but still close to shopping and dining. The lighthouse view is far better than the pictures shpw. You will not regret booking this property.

By far, this house was the cleanest and most well-maintained home that we ever rented. I am a "clean-freak" - needless to say, I was quite nervous the first time we opened the front door! Been traveling to OBX for 15 years and have never had so many kitchen appliances and utensils. HOWEVER, the pictures showed a Keurig but NO Keurig! Also, we had a problem w/tiny ants that was promptly addressed. Lots of towels. Nice quality of towels.

Clean, Comfortable and Well Stocked

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Puppy Love was just what we wanted and needed. The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. the beds were comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi were clean, the house was big enough for 8 adults and 2 dogs. The only downside was the space between the kitchen and the common area was a little small, but we were able to adapt. The kitchen is well stocked with every tool we ever needed. There is enough parking for five cars. The bikes were in good shape and came in handy. We made good use of the fitness center, and the neighborhood was quiet and a great place to walk. The location is close to the drive on beach which we love. There is a nature trail down the street that was a lovely place to walk the dogs. We had a great time and recommend Puppy Love to anyone.

Family Vacation

Very nice!! The biggest issues for us was that OBX is way to populated for what is available in Shopping, Restaurants and Amusement. The worst is the traffic coming in and out on Saturdays!!!
