Wonderful beach house

This house was excellent for us. Very clean, had everything we needed and more. Plenty of room as well for a large group- with extra room even. Short walk to public accesses for the beach. It was so nice having extra beach chairs and pool accessories to use too! No complaints at all about this house and I highly recommend and would love to stay again in the future!

OBX Vacation 2024

The Life of Riley was a beautiful home! Yes it felt like we were home. The amenities were awesome. Our hosts thought of all the little things we may have needed and provided them. Including pool toys and rafts, yard games and quality kitchen pots and pans (not cheap scratched Teflon stuff). Lol... This home is perfectly located to shops in walking distance and the beach. This home was so clean and spacious and provided our large group with plenty of room. We would ABSOLUTELY stay here again!

Blue house with the pink door

The swimming pool and hot tub really added to our experience. The house was spacious and comfortable. It was conveniently located near the beach. It was the first time for all of us to visit the outer banks. It's a beautiful area. We'll definitely come back. We enjoyed the Hatteras lighthouse, the aquarium and the kids definitely loved the water park.

The house provided everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked. Loved the breakfast nook. Large table in dining room accommodated everyone. Plenty of bathrooms. Best part was the pool. We spent so much time there - very enjoyable. We are ready to go back again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The stay at The Life of Riley was great! The service and the prompt responses from Beach Realty was equally as great! From the beginning Beach Realty made the entire process so easy. Very tech savvy. The payment process was easily explained and exactly what was expected down to an app you download with all the information needed all the way to the keyless code entry the day of arrival and messages with reminder notes as in when trash day was and simple reminders and recommendations for anything needed. We had also rented a golf cart from Ocean Atlantic Rentals as they recommended and that also was a great experience and a perfect addition. The location was close to a lot that we could drive to in the cart. The weather over the two weeks we were there was “hit or miss”. Had plenty of days by the pool and many nights in the hot tub. Not quite a beach day weather during our two weeks through (in mid May). Overall, the house was beautiful and we all had a great stay. We celebrated our parents 50th anniversary and it was just perfect. I would totally recommended this home as a rental for a big family and even more Beach Realty with their exceptional service throughout it all.

Nice Property would stay again!

My Family and Friends and I really enjoyed this property overall. It was a little rocky in the beginning as I asked to get early check in and they said you had to do it over a week in advance and I feel like I am normally used it to being the opposite way. Nonetheless they got us in well before the check in time which was great. The property mgmt company could have given better information in my opinion. I asked about a grill since I only saw one of those park looking charcoal grills and they told me that is all the property had. That was incorrect as they had a very large gas grill on premise as well. Would have been super helpful to have the right information as we lugged a large grill with us as we had 10 people in the house. The property mgmt company also said the baby gear listed in the listing was not there but it was infact there. So I am not sure why they don't have the proper list of items as this is really needed for families travelling with little space. Other then that everything was great. The house had more then enough space and a great layout. Pool was fantastic the kids never left! One last thing i would reccommend is having a vaccuum for guests to use to help clean up. There were times I would have loved to just vaccuum but had nothing to use and a dust pan and broom doesn't work on carpet! Definitely keep this property in mind for large families or groups!

Great stay for a large family

The house was beautiful, nicely decorated, well-appointed and maintained, in a great location and had plenty of room for our group. We liked the outdoor spaces and the lower level pool table! The only issues were that the house could use more forks, the stove vent was not working, and it would have been nice to have some kind of shade around the pool. Also, I did text management using the number provided about a grill brush-we never did hear back, but ended up finding a well-worn brush that needs replacing. Other than those minor issues, great trip!

Fun OBX Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall it was a great experience. The condo is just a 2 minute walk from the beach and really close to a lot of attractions. We golfed, went jet skiing, putt putt, shopping, and was all within a 10-15 minute drive. The only bad things were that the ice machine upstairs quit working. We used the ice cube trays provided to make ice. Also,the fridge downstairs wasn’t cooling either when we got there. We had to unplug it, wait several hours for the line to thaw then plug it back in. Worked fine after that. Other than those minor inconveniences we had a great trip and would definitely rent again.

Outer banks family vacation

Reviewer Comments: Vacation was good , location is not far from beach but not best vacation location with small kids, you have to cross a busy highway and the beach access is not good for carrying things and children, no steps all sand and up hill. House was nice, few minor thing but overall nice. Pool nice and location to grocery and food places good. Did not like the lock for air conditioning, the house got warm at night, even 2 degrees cooler at 66 degrees would b better sleeping, was nice and comfortable during th day. The house was equipped and plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 children, I would recommend this house.

The bedrooms and common areas worked out well with plenty of room to stretch out. Tons of games and books! The pool was nice with a enough lounge chairs. The walk to the beach was only a few minutes. We had to bring our own beach chairs and umbrellas, they were not provided. There were several ice cream shops and restaurants within walking distance. I would rent this property again!

The house was spacious, appeared as expected, was well stocked and in a good location.pros-well stocked kitchen-short walk to the beach-lots of games, books and things to do on a rainy day-we used the pool and hot tub daily-maintenance issues were dealt with promptly-lots of beach equipment-gas grill-table top icemaker that made small amts of ice continuously-loved the large dining table-back deck with hammock and porch swingcons-the closest public beach access required climbing over a rather large sand dune via a narrow path; there was no board walk or steps and no shower; this turned into a big negative for everyone and could be a deal breaker for someone with heart problems or limited endurance-on arrival a toilet was broken and 2 showers did not drain; the maintenance man fixed these promptly but another toilet broke later in the week-many complaints about the uncomfortable mattresses-the refrigerator was placed in an awkward place which prevented the freezer door from opening all the way and limited access to the freezer-the grass was overgrown on arrival and wasn't cut until mid week-the spa service guy showed up at 0600 sat morning on our departure day and, being the hot tub was right outside my window, nearly gave me a heart attack thinking someone was trying to break into the house; a notice that he was going to show up early would have been nice-when we picked up the key at the realty office the office staff were pretty rude; recommend a keyless entry to avoid this inconvenience

The king size beds were very comfortable but the twin beds were not. Our stay for the week was not great due to weather as it rained the whole time we were there and the wind was horrible. There was not much to do indoors in the area we were in.

Family vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The size of the house was great for four families (some with kids). It was a short walk to the beach, and we also enjoyed the little shops within walking distance. It was a convenient distance to grocery stores and restaurants as well. We enjoyed the many balconies and the pool and hot tub. Even though VRBO says check-in is at 4:00, the rental company has a window of time from 4:00-6:00, so the property may not be ready until 6:00. Also, we discovered the dryer was broken on the second day and although a repairman came twice to look at it, it was never repaired, which was inconvenient. The house could use some updating but overall it was comfortable.

A great place for a family vacation

The house was perfect for our young families. It had plenty of rooms for everyone to have their own space and no one ever felt in each other’s way. The location is perfect for a short walk to the beach and centrally located to everything you could possibly need. It had everything you could need for young kids already at the house. We played lots of pool and enjoyed our time out by the pool at night. I’d highly recommend this house and would certainly return again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was great except for some minor issues. The house was pretty clean upon arrival but could have been better. Unfortunately multiple deck chairs and the indoor recliner were damaged. The sliding doors did not seal well making it very noisy during any weather.

Very nice house, close to beach.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very nice. It had everything you would need to spend a week of relaxing. It was a 5 min walk to the beach which was nice except you had to go over the sand dunes but it was still nice to be so close. We had no issues. I would recommend this house.

Relaxing stay

What a beautiful property. Everything was as advertised. We had a wonderful time and would rent it again in a heartbeat. Great location only a block or two away from public access to the beach.
