What a lovely, accommodating, comfortable stay. The loft is perfectly appointed with everything I needed and nothing I didn’t. The queen bed was comfortable and the pull-out couch bed was the MOST COMFORTABLE guest bed we have ever encountered. It is not what you expect from a pull-out — it’s quiet, firm, and gives a great night of sleep.
Speaking of quiet: I expected a little residential noise but overall, a hotel stay with slamming doors and housekeeping and the climate control and other guests is MUCH noisier. The loft was incredibly peaceful and I was 100% undisturbed by the garage door or the family/owners who live in the house on the property.
My host left no detail undone: everything was immaculately clean, sweet little decorations abound without feeling cluttered, and little touches like chai mix and coffee made me feel downright pampered.
Parking on the street was very easy. Only one time over the weekend (when nearby 9th and 9th was at its busiest), I had to park across the street. Otherwise, I was able to park right in front of the owner’s house.
This was the perfect home base for our extended visit for our daughter’s graduation from the U. We loved walking to restaurants, everywhere we needed to drive was close by, and I (a middle-aged woman) felt safe every minute. I had to work (online) on one of my days here, and the wifi was adequate.
Do not hesitate to stay here! I am already trying to find an excuse to return to SLC just to stay at this loft again.
