Prepare to relax as soon as you step inside this spacious 2 bedroom, 1 bath country cottage. Viola’s Cottage has been newly renovated to include modern conveniences while maintaining original, country charm. Perfect for a romantic get away, family trip or travel with friends. Internet & remote working available. Viola’s Cottage overlooks our family farm and has beautiful views within minutes of downtown Steelville. You will enjoy panoramic views of the farm, barn and hayfields. To begin, enjoy our Coffee & Tea bar and sip your beverage on the deck, covered porch or outdoor dining area. If you are seeking an escape to the river, it’s only a short hike down the hill to Fishing Springs river access. Relax in the sun or shade and let the rippling sounds of the river drift your cares away. You may envision casting a line or skipping rocks. The kitchen/dining room is spacious with gorgeous views of the property. The kitchen contains natural wood cabinets and a full set of stainless-steel appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven & garbage disposal. You will have plenty of counter space to prepare meals & snacks as well as being stocked with what you may need to cook a meal. Outdoor dining is available, Edison/Bluetooth string lights provided and charcoal grill. Mini cornhole and mini washers games provided for your entertainment. Afterward, turn on the electric fireplace, settle into your leather couch, and enjoy your favorite movie on the 50” Smart TV with soundbar. As night approaches you will settle into your bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed, Full size Futon, Leather highback chairs with matching glass top table and marble top night stand. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, desk & chair, reading table and two chairs. Fans provided. Each bedroom is set up for remote working if you require it. The living room has a full-size sofa sleeper. Linens, towels and basic soaps are provided.
The only thing you need when you visit our cottage is food, charcoal (if needed) and toiletries. We do supply soap, body wash & shampoo.

Should you like to be picked up at your cottage & returned there after your float, we have a local company to serve you. Steelville is nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and is on the Meramec River. The City's website says it's the perfect setting for outdoor recreational activities. They mention hiking, canoeing, and enjoying the spectacular views. That's before they get into Steelville's quaint Main Street which the City promises will take you back to a more gracious and elegant time. The Meramec River in Missouri Is The Perfect escape.
