Horrible directions and communication
This was the worst VRBO experience I have ever had. The day of my stay I had to message for directions to the cabin. Directions were not sufficient and I had no cell service. I ended up paddling to the cabin (to the “left of the dock” as I was told). It was raining and I couldn’t find the key that was supposed to be under the steps of the deck. I had no cell service and disk was approaching so I had to drive back to town and call. The host didn’t respond to my messages. I called VRBO and they could not reach the host but said since I left the premises they would not find me a place to stay since I “vacated the property” I was alone on a lake, in the rain with no cell service or shelter!!! The following day the owner messaged me and apolgized. Apparently the cabin was across the lake and I should have “pinned” it on my phone for directions (no where did it say to do that) and I had no service. I was at the wrong cabin but didn’t know it. They offered to refund and let me try again next year for free to make up for the ordeal. After a few months I noticed I did not receive a refund and they will not respond to my inquiry.
Do not book this property unless you want to lose out on your money.
