We had the opportunity to stay at this lakeside oasis over the last weekend and would honestly give it 5 stars if we could. Not only was the home beautiful and well appointed, but Dr. Jay was one of the most gracious and communicative hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. The location was ideal with one of a kind lake views, a stunning pool, and plenty of outdoor space to relax and take it all in. If you are looking for your next lakeside escape, look no further than this property!

The property was perfect for a family vacation. So many great amenities. Infinity pool, hot tub, comfortable, well stocked right on the lake and incredible house. Communication with property owner was key. Made everything so easy. Can not say enough. Great vacation!!

Beautiful home

The property was in a beautiful area and right on the lake. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the hot tub and also cooking out. All of the beds were very comfortable and we were treated like special guests in their home.

Location. Location. Location.

This central Lake Austin location was perfect for us. A few doors down from the epic Ski Shores Cafe was so convenient to the best nachos and burgers in town. The pool looked like it flowed right into the lake. We enjoyed it everyday. Along with wake surfing and jet skiing right off the back of the house. Dr. Jay is the best host ever. Thanks for a great trip.

Dr. Jay is an amazing host! Incredibly helpful in planning before getting to Austin and overly communicative/helpful during our stay which was such an added benefit. The house itself is great for a big group and has an amazing backyard, pool, and lake access. It’s 2 doors down from ski shores which is an amazing lake side eatery that people travel from all around Austin to visit. 10/10 would stay again!

Fun Family Vacation

I rented the lake house with my husband, parents, siblings, and niece/nephew, and it was so fun for all ages. We used a boat rental for several days, and they picked us up from the dock right outside, which was so convenient. The house is located nextdoor to Ski Shores, a classic, waterfront Austin restaurant that is perfect for quick meals or fun drinks - and they even have a pickleball court! Dr Jay was INCREDIBLY responsive before and during our stay. The pool and yard are incredibly shady, which was great for the little kids but not great for getting tan. Overall, it was nice house and stay but it is his primary residence so there are a lot of knick-knacks, photos, etc. throughout the house and lots of drawers, cabinets and doors marked as off limits and cameras throughout the exterior.

Perfect Spot for a Perfect Weekend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The house is located on a picturesque part of Lake Austin - near of fun little “cafe” and a really pretty hiking trail (Turkey Creek). Dr. Jay, our host, was welcoming, helpful, and committed to making our stay everything we wanted it to be! We were in for our son’s wedding, and the house provided the perfect backdrop for our small welcome dinner. Hoping for an excuse to go back!

Amazing house and perfect location!

Beautiful lakefront property! Only 2 lots down from ski shores, easy to walk over for lunch or dinner. 5 giant bedrooms, everyone slept great. Spent most of our time in backyard, huge infinity pool and hot tub overlooking lake, plenty of towels. Beach entry to lake and beautiful view from deck. Very clean property with amazing decor. Had everything we needed and more! Immediate response from owner with any questions, we can’t wait to come back! Thanks so much Jay!

Great Lake house

Pictures don’t do this place justice. The house is not only breathtakingly beautiful, w easy access to lake austin and ski shores, it’s fully equipped w everything you need to cook for large groups, plenty of fluffy towels, and many other little touches to make it feel like home.

Awesome VRBO!!!!

I can’t say enough great things about this house! Bedroom arrangements were perfect for our house. Master is huge and beds are so comfortable! House is very accommodating and owner supplies so many things most vrbo’s don’t like soap, shampoo and conditioner in every shower. Extra toilet paper (Charmin!) and paper towels, laundry supplies, pool towels, pool toys, etc etc!!! One big extra is the pool is in the shade all day so fair skinned kiddos won’t get sunburned! If you want sun there’s plenty by the sandy beach or in a lounge chair above the boathouse. The owner is awesome about communicating within seconds of sending him a text if you have any questions!!! Great outdoor restaurant just steps away from the house. Will definitely be back!!!!

Great Spring Vacation

This house was amazing...beautiful interior and exterior. We used to live on Lake Austin and this vacation made us feel at home again! The views are amazing and there are so many places in house and on the beautifully landscaped back yard to enjoy morning coffee, happy hour and dinner! Enjoyed the dock, the pool and the hot tub! Not only was the house amazing, but Dr J was also a great host! I will be booking Dr. J's house again!

Wonderful property

Dr. Jay’s property was perfect for our reunion. There were plenty of comfortable beds, a wonderful kitchen and grill, privacy, and clear communication. The view from the pool was beautiful, and we enjoyed watching the water skiers and visiting the restaurant with great drinks just steps away. Overall wonderful and very grateful to have found this property with such a helpful owner. We hope to come back!

Amazing House & Location, Location!

You cannot beat this location, absolutely amazing spot on Lake Austin! The house is super clean, spacious and can’t beat the pool and hot tub facing the lake. It’s unbelievable. The yard slopes down near the lake and it’s a small beach. Very nice to walk into the lake. We had a boat and we’re able to pull up to the dock for east pick up and drop off. Steps away from Ski Shore Café (also amazing). Lastly, Jay’s communication was so appreciated. Anything we had a question on or local recommendations he was so quick to reply. I cannot recommend Jay’s place enough. A+++++
