Cana Cove Lookout

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Situated on Lake Michigan with 105' of private beach frontage, and views of the historic Cana Island Lighthouse!

Professionally remodeled & decorated, featuring new appliances, furniture, crow's nest bedroom and more!

Located at the end of a 2.5 mile rustic road. Less than 1/4 mile from the Cana Island Lighthouse! Public beach & walking trails only 1/2 mile away.

Close enough to all Door County has to offer without all the congestion!
The space
Master bedroom located on the first floor with a king size bed, and twin size day bed by the window overlooking the lake and lighthouse. 43” TV located in room. Full master bathroom attached.

Bedroom two is also on the main floor with a full size pullout sofa sleeper. This room has a 43” TV.

Full kitchen, dining area, and living room with a 55” TV located on the first floor, as well as laundry room, and half bathroom. Guests will also have access to the garage.

There are two bedrooms on the second floor. One has a king size bed, and small desk area. The other has a twin size, over full size bunk bed, with a twin size trundle. The bunk room also has a 43” TV.

Third floor features a crow’s nest bedroom with views of Lake Michigan. There is a twin size true mattress daybed in this room.

There is access to a deck/patio from the living room with a high top table and chairs overlooking the lake.

In the backyard there is a large picnic table, 6-burner grill, and paved fire pit area.

Finally there is 105’ of private beach frontage with stunning views of the historic Cana Island Lighthouse (be sure to pack beach towels for the trip). The lighthouse can also be viewed from most areas in the back yard, as well as the patio table.

Cana Cove Lookout was a wonderful vacation rental. The location and setting exceeded expectations. Check-in was seamless and the host clearly communicated the process with us. We found the house was very comfortable. The location was great - private but accessible to many destinations.

Cozy Winter Weekend

Gorgeous home and stunning view. Wonderful property with lots to see and do around or just to stay in. Warm and comfortable cozy space with lots of space to get together or to sneak away with a book! Fall Weekend

This house is great, clean and well appointed. The views are unreal, queer dead end street about 10-15 min outside Bailey’s Harbor within walking distance to Cana Island Lighthouse which is also visible from the house. Our kids 3-7 loved exploring the rocky beach where you’re able to walk out quite far. They had everything there for kids or all ages, they loved playing in the “Eagle’s Neat” room that covers panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Quieter side of DC, but within reasonable driving distance from the house and great dining options in Baileys Harbor and Fish Creek for takeaway if you have a larger group as we did. Thank you, we’d love to return!

Door County Paradise

The Cana Cove Lookout was clean, convenient, and beautiful. It was the perfect place for our family to stay in Door County. So many great homey touches. We'll be back!

Beautiful family vacation home

Cana Cove Lookout is the perfect family vacation home. The home is beautiful and well kept with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the lighthouse. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking tools. The location is so nice in that it is quiet but only 15-20 minutes from multiple towns. We really enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful home with stunning views!

This was such a wonderful place to stay for our girls weekend. The house was large, cozy and very clean with plenty of amenities. The best was the stunning view of the lake enjoyed through the large windows or from the deck or backyard with lots of great areas to sit and enjoy the sounds of waves and birds or admire the stars at night. The house was well stocked with dishes and thoughtful amenities. The neighborhood was quiet and safe and we loved walking to the lighthouse. Bailey's Harbor was a quick drive away and we also visited Egg Harbor and Sister Bay easily too. Our host was very responsive and nice.

Amazing property

We booked this property for our family of 6 adults, 2 four year olds and 2 two year olds. The house and grounds were simply beautiful. The house had a large kitchen with lots of pots, pans, good knives, utensils and more than enough plates, cups and cutlery. The seating in the living room and extra front room were sufficient for our group. The front room was great for the kids to play, read, and do puzzles. The bathrooms were large and fully stocked with supplies. The master bedroom suite on the main floor was large and very comfortable with a great view of Lake Michigan. The two bedrooms on the 2nd floor were very comfortable and very clean as well. The extra bedroom above in the cupola was perfect for one adult (a daybed) and one of the 2 year olds. The blinds kept it dark and the daybed was comfortable. It was also a great napping room. The grounds and the views were just amazing. There was lots of space on the paths for the kids to run around, a huge fire pit with a large supply of firewood, more than enough outdoor seating and the views of the lighthouse and Lake Michigan couldn’t have been better. The host was very quick to respond to any of our inquiries and extremely helpful. Internet was fine in the house, and a little spotty outside, but that’s what we found all over Door County. In conclusion, the property was clean and large in one of the most picturesque parts of the Door and the host was prompt and so helpful. We can’t wait to come back.

Amazing!!!

I’m so happy to have the honor of leaving the first review! From start to finish, Randy was a dream to work with! First off, the pictures do not do the house or the property justice! The house was clean and comfortable with everything one would need! From the nice touch of the green tea hair and body products left out for guests to use to the cabinet full of games, every area of the house has been attended to. The beds were super comfortable and a nice place to relax! The backyard is truly an oasis! We greatly enjoyed hearing the sound of the waves, having a bonfire at night, roasting marshmallows, looking at the sky full of stars and just the overall peace that is present as you step away from the day to day cares of world and into the backyard of Randy’s home. The house was easy to find especially easy if you follow the signs for the Cana Cove Lighthouse! We enjoyed our quick and scenic 15-20 minute trips to downtown Bailey Harbor and Sister Bay! We had a wonderful family vacation! We highly recommend! Thank you Randy!

Cana Cove Lookout

The highlight for me was the beautiful backyard with private lake access and incredible views..I could have spent my whole trip out there. Very quiet area and the property felt nicely secluded. The house was very clean and comfortable and great for our family gathering. Well-appointed kitchen and easy to cook in. Only minor complaint I heard from family was that the mattresses in the bunkbed room weren't that comfortable. Randy was a great host. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.
