We had a 10 day stay at Tropical RunAway and enjoyed every minute of it. We are a family of four and occupied the Loggerhead House (the main villa). Our sons are both adults so while my husband and I occupied one guest suite on the upper floor, they flipped a coin to decide who got the other suite. The downstairs bedrooms are a bit spare, but most of our time was spent outside on the screened in porch or on the lovely grounds or upstairs in the large family room so the sleeping accommodations weren't super important.
We were on Brac for a SCUBA vacation, and found this to be a super location from which to easily and quickly reach the dive shop. We also did some shore diving, so it was convenient to pick up tanks from the shop, do the diving we wanted and run the tanks back by the shop on the way back to the villa. A grocery store and restaurants are situated close by, so we really needn't have left the west end of the island if we didn't want to.
The location near the airport was actually kind of nice - not a ton of air traffic, and what there is isn't super loud. There is no beach access from the airport grounds, so it makes this property a dead end as far as public access. We saw very few people on the beach in front of the house.
There was another couple staying in the Hawksbill house (the small guesthouse on the property), but it was not a problem at all. We didn't see much of them, and the grounds are large enough that we could all spread out and feel like we had the place to ourselves. The SCUBA rinse station is shared by both houses, but the other group did not have gear to maintain, so this wasn't an issue for us. The laundry is also shared, but again, it was not a problem as the other couple just checked with us about when we would be gone and did their laundry when we were on the dive boat.
The kitchen was well appointed. We didn't cook meals beyond breakfast, but there were plenty of pots and pans and utensils. We had a few minor issues during our stay: the smoke detector batteries were low, the power went out a couple of times, and one of the AC units was dripping water into the house upon our arrival. Each of these issues was handled promptly by the property managers on the island.
We would definitely stay at this property again in the future if our travels take us back to Cayman Brac.
