Last year, we stayed in The Shanty by the Creek, but this year we needed a bit more room and decided to book The Boathouse. Once again, we were not disappointed. The Boathouse has an even better view then The Shanty, though it was very beautiful and unique in its own right. I can highly recommend either place, just depending on your needs. I love sitting outside on the deck in the morning and drinking my coffee, listening to the water and watching the wildlife. The inside is so cozy and you have pretty much everything you need. The composting toilet is unique, for me anyway, but after two stays now, it's just business as usual. One of our favorite features is the outdoor shower and endless hot water - pure heaven! Driving back to the cabin at night and seeing all of the outdoor lights is such a beautiful and unique experience. You won't regret booking this quaint little spot deep in the woods. Todd and Jennifer are awesome hosts and anything you need, just send a message and they respond promptly!
