About this space
The Dawdy House at Little Cove is a brand new smoky mountain getaway Enjoy the peaceful quiet mornings on the porch watching the turkeys make their way through the mountain, or relaxing & visiting with a cup of coffee in a rocker or swing on the porch. Little Cove takes us back in time to a less busy life. We hope you will come and enjoy our special, happy place. The cabin can accommodate up to 4 guests. No pets allowed. The owners are available if needed.
The space
The guest house is on a private, gated property shared by 2 owners that also share the same driveway. The cabin is connected to the cabin on the right at the top of mountain. Parking sign is posted to the right. There is a kitchenette, living area, dining area, bedroom with 2 full size beds and a full size bath. There are 2 (electric) fireplaces for cozy mountain cool nights. Lots of porch area to enjoy.
Guest access
Guests are welcome at either entrance to porches and any of the L shaped porch area to enjoy and relax.
Other things to note
The owners will be in and out so not to bother the guest. It is our wish that our guests will experience the many activities that brings so many back to the Smokies each year. Mountain views and streams, hiking , biking, zip lines, tubing, whitewater rafting, most of all history of the Smoky mountains. Our most favorite is Cade's Cove.

There is a keypad lock on cabin. When leaving use the keypad not the door lock. Always lock your vehicle due to bear activity.
Do not let children climb the excavated hill behind the cabin.
When checking out Please Place used towels in tub. Leave bed covers on bed. Wash dirty dishes. Place trash bags in storage shed and turn key to lock.

This is the best place we have ever stayed. And we have stayed in many cabins. The cabin is spotless and the hosts are the best ever. This was our second time at this cabin and we are booked for a third time. It is very private and quiet and the cabin is decorated beautifully. It is not a large cabin, so it would be best for a couple. Although four could sleep here. The host brought us chocolate chip cookies when we arrived and later on some delicious apple bread. You can book this cabin with confidence that you will have a great stay. Highly recommended!!
Bedroom is decorated for the seasons.

Blessings, upon blessings, upon the blessings! This house is the perfect, most cozy cabin. The cleanliness, warmth, welcoming decorations were a gentle touch. The host/hostess were a definite plus to our stay. They were very welcoming, had a wealth of knowledge of the area and were willing to go above and beyond to make our stay PERFECT. They were/are beautiful souls. This place is above the rest!

Everything was very clean and well maintained! I loved all the flowers in pots outside and on porch as well as the decor; It's well cared for. The location was great, though very curvy dark driving to get there (which it is the smoky mtns!) but was pretty close to everything. Property mgr lives close by and was helpful of anything we needed but also had plenty of privacy. We would stay there again!

Perfect cozy getaway. We absolutely loved our weekend getaway here for our anniversary trip. Location is perfect for those who want away from the main strip of pigeon forge area but still be close. We loved that we were close to either going through Townsend into Cades cove or leaving out to check out pigeon forge but return back to peaceful setting. Relaxing in the cabin with the lovely fireplace in the living room or the bedroom area, to enjoying the beautiful view from the porch. Cozy comfort is the best way to describe this place. We will definitely return.

I never get to take vacations. This was my first VRBO I've ever rented and it was absolutely the best experience I could have ever had. The host and hostess were amazing and made you feel like family, the place was very warm and cozy and the perfect place to lay your head at the end of a long day out adventuring around pigeon forge. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean The only thing I wish was I could have spent more time rocking in that rocking chair looking out over the mountains. A special thank you to the host and hostess! I hope we can visit again soon.

During our stay the cabin was so beautiful, Roger and Darlene were so sweet and friendly. When we walked into the cabin it was beautiful! The pictures do not do it justices on how cute this cabin is in person and it smelt amazing! She even left us fresh cookies on a little plate waiting for us! The cabin was extremely clean. Everything was provide during our stay which was awesome! I definitely recommend this cabin if you want a nice cozy stay! My only complaint about the cabin was the mattress, it was pretty stiff but other than that everything was great! If you do decided to stay here make sure to say hey to Darlene and Roger! They are really sweet people wanting to hear about your adventures and even will help recommend stuff to you!

Summer trip

Although our stay was short, it was great. Upon arriving at the cabin, we were greeted by Roger and Darlene, two very nice people that own the cabin. The cabin was very cozy and clean, and has a nice little porch with a view of the Smoky's. We will definitely stay again if we are in the smoky's again.

Wonderful beautiful cabin

Cabin was adorable and the owners are great! Told us what to check out and had a little gift for us! The wildlife on their property was great to see! The cabin is so homey, and decorated so well! We will be back if we’re around again! 10/10 recommend!

Anniversary Weekend Stay

First, this place is cute and in a wonderful location. It feels like you are far out from everything while only being 15 minutes from everything in Pigeon Forge. The host was wonderful and even made us cookies. Highly recommend!

Little Cove is very close to Pigeon Forge and Wears Valley. 8 miles to Townsend and 9 miles to Gatlinburg. This location is perfect for any activity you choose.
Our cabin has wildlife visit while relaxing in a rocker on the porch. Very peaceful!
