Perfect New Years Gathering
We are three families who have gotten together for New Year’s for well over 30 years. We decided to change our venue to the Poconos and the Naomi Lake Guest House was the perfect home. Lots of space to be together or to find some solitude. Televisions on both the first floor and in the third floor game room was a plus during a weekend full of football. Dining room that could hold 10 to 12 comfortably for dinner was an added bonus. We do all of our own cooking and do not go out to restaurants on these weekends so having a large kitchen and two refrigerators was terrific! Next time we come - and there will be a repeat visit - we will know to bring some of the basic kitchen's supplies: salt and pepper, foil, olive oil, etc. Our advice to others who might “cook in” is to bring whatever you might need including sauté pans and large pots.
All in all, this is a wonderful property and our host was very helpful. The home is an historic landmark that has been beautifully restored, offers comfortable sleeping accommodations and plenty of space for gatherers. We were so pleased to find this property.
