Fully remodeled and pet friendly home, all brand-new!

Located just 1/3 mile, 5 min walk to a beautiful sandy beach access and 1.25 miles to the heart of Port Austin! You will love this fully remodeled and fully stocked home situated on over 1 acre of land which makes for the perfect vacation offering a combination of sandy beach and wildlife, while also being able to enjoy all that lovely Port Austin has to offer. Great dining, art, music, farmers market, bike trails, kayaking, famous Turnip Rock and much more.

The space
Port Austin is the hidden gem of the thumb of Michigan! You will find restaurants, ice cream, mini-golf, golf courses, a break wall, a grocery store, shops and coffee and much more!
Right up the road at the Port Austin Marina you are able to launch your boat or jet skis! Perhaps you rather take a charter out to see the famous Turnip Rock?!
As you travel up M-25 towards Caseville you will find canoeing and kayaking on the Pinnabog River. You will pass Port Crescent State Park as well as Sleeper State Park with hiking trails and outdoor adventure! In Oak Beach during the summer months at Huron County Nature Center there are interesting educational sessions on various Michigan wildlife, which is great for kids. They also have beautiful trails.
In Port Austin you will find a variety of wonderful restaurant options and lovely little shops! At PAKS you can rent kayaks and take an adventure out to see the famous Turnip Rock! On Saturday’s they hold a wonderful Farmers Market!
The Thumb of Michigan has a lot to offer, whether you prefer to stay home and enjoy the quiet private beach and sunsets or venture out and explore, our home is the perfect place for you!

Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of one small owners closet which is locked.

We offer beach towels, four folding ground-level beach chairs, and a fire pit on property. We also have a gas grill.

Very nice, clean, comfortable and newly renovated ranch home. Great location, 1 mile from port Austin and 23 min from caseville. Many beaches/state parks nearby. We would stay here again.

First vacation to Lake Huron

Wonderful time did all the activities imaginable and made it down to Caseville for the Cheeseburger festival. Love the boat ride to turnip rock, the breaker wall, the quiet beach at Oak harbor, and the local restaurants. Everyone was pleasant and friendly thank you to our hosts for a wonderful time.

Well appointed home with access to water and restaurants

The hosts thought of everything. Kitchen was well appointed, rooms comfortable and yard had a fire pit and furniture to enjoy the nights. We had some confusion with check-in instructions, vbut we did resolve things. We will stay again.

Very very clean. Good location. Cute decor. Updated. Hosts were pretty good at communication . We did feel a 10 am check out was early . We had a partial power and full internet outage for a few hours on the second day, but was resolved.

Very nice house

The house is equipped with all that you would need for a long weekend. The new kitchen is beautiful and has all the supplies you could possibly need. The owner was quick to respond to a question I had. Port Austin is a fun getaway…nice restaurants, kayaking Turnip Rock and long walks on the beach at Port Crescent State Park.

nice getaway

We had a family gathering, long overdo! My sister lives just on the otherside of Port Austin so it was an easy trip back and forth. We enjoyed our stay and even my little four legged girl settled in...eventually! We never did find the cottage rules, so it's a good thing Elie summerized them the day we checked in. He was always quick about getting back with me. Thank you for letting us stay at your place.
