About this space
Relax at this quaint 10-acre family farm just outside of town. Only 5 minutes from top-tier Texas BBQ and shopping, you can experience it all or just slow down and simplify.

Just 15 minutes from Lake Granger, feel free to bring your boat for skiing or fishing while you’re here.

Enjoy the garden, chickens, and cows along with the majestic Pecan Trees that are great to hang a hammock and read.

Bottom line…getaway for a night or spend the week. It’s a great tiny Texas farm house to choose.

Excellent country farm cottage. Perfect location, affording privacy in a very safe and secure manner. Centrally located a short distance from Lake Granger and downtown Taylor. Can not complete this survey without mentioning our hosts, Danny, Rachel and their son Michael. Really, really nice and friendly family. They do all that they can, to help you enjoy your stay with them. Their cottage is now our "Go To" cabin and will be the very FIRST place we try to book, in that area in the future.

Casita was very well designed, super clean and fully stocked with linen, towels, coffee, etc. Excellent location, very short distance from downtown, restaurants, shops, HEB, Walmart, etc. Our purpose for booking was to fish at Granger lake, just 9.8 miles down the road. Great location for easy, short lake access. Really liked the peace and quite, seclusion and safety for parking our boat at night.

Room was very nice and clean, animals were cool to interact with, and people were very nice. However the listing is a bit deceptive the house is located very close to the owners house which we were not expecting due to the pictures making it seem very private and secluded. Also be aware that there may be crop dusting planes flying low at 6 am which are very loud and shake the house, this could be very alarming to anyone with ptsd.

We came to the area for our grandson's HS graduation. Since many family members were coming from out of town and much was going on, we rented this place nearby, and we were so happy we did! It was clean, cozy and comfortable, and after the festive commotions of the day, we retreated to our deck and watched amazing sunsets and storms in the distance and relaxed. Also, we were fortunate to be there at the beginning of firefly season, which I really enjoy since we don't have those back home! Dan the owner man was very gracious and helpful but also gave us our space & privacy. We enjoyed their critters on the farm - pigs, chickens, barn cats, puppies and the wild birds, croaking frogs and singing crickets, too. We will come back again! Thank you, Dan!

Peaceful, quiet, very cute.

We went to Taylor for my granddaughters graduation. This place is a little out in the country still a short drive to every where inTaylor. It was nice and quiet. There was everything we needed and then some. Nice and cool. Owner very friendly and attentive. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Charming and in a beautiful setting.

The cottage was just right for the two of us. We loved being on the farm. The chickens and pigs were a delightful bonus...and the hosts made us feel right at home. We definitely want to return.

No secure door

My daughter arrived before me. It was dark and the whole place seemed sketchy to her, so much so that she did not get out of her vehicle. I drove over about 20 minutes later and did agree it was a bit unusual with the outbuildings around the back of the house. And there was no lighting. I went to the door. I opened using the code I was told yo use. Qhen inside, it was clean and 2 beds in one room. The pics made it swem there was a room separate feom the main space. There was not. And I went to see if the door could be secured from the inside. It couldn't be lovked from the insides. So given that the host could enter anytime as he had the code, abd I had no way to secure the door for my protection, I elected to leave the cabin. It all felt too creepy. I told him we wouldn't stay with the door not being secured. He replied that only he had access and he could be trusted. NOPE. Not at all trusting someone I never met and the place was pretty remite. Had evey one of my red flags go ip.
