The Neighborhood:

Secluded mountain home on a gravel road. Check with host as road can be bumpy or uneven after rains. A 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive is recommended to get to cabin.



Getting Around:

We are located only 10 minutes to UNG and Downtown Dahlonega. We are located on a gravel road and it can be bumpy at times. Most any car can travel on the road but we do recommend a 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive for a better ride down the road.



Other Things to Note:

You will get a country massage on the way to the cabin. The gravel road is bumpy but the home and surroundings is worth it! :)

Property manager was very responsive but the location described accurately in the listing. We did have a 4 wheel drive vehicle but nothings tells you this is almost a requirement to get to cabin. Areas are not lit and nothing is marked well enough to see when you are arriving at night. Cabin had an odd oder as well. A musky smell that made my sinuses very irritated. It was fine for the 2 nights we stayed but I would have been miserable having to stay any longer

The host was pleasant and very attentive. The cabin was perfect for my weekend stay. Quiet location. My son had deer company while grilling. The road to the cabin was interesting but we didn’t have any problems. I would definitely stay there again.

The host was very helpful and responsive via the messaging platform. The location was spectacular - truly unbeatable in our opinion! The pictures accurately portray the experience, and the place was clean upon arrival. Instructions for trouble-shooting the fireplace were clear and a nice perk to the visit. We want to come back!

Had everything we needed. It is a wonderful property. The road was indeed bumpy but we had a all wheel drive jeep. Jason, our host was awesome, very responsive in a timely manner.

Excellent place to stay and a fantastic host who was so easy to work with. Jason communicated very well, and the check-in was precisely as he stated in his email. I needed this to get away for a few days, and that is what this cabin allows you to do. I will be back very soon.

Cabin in the woods

This is a very sweet cabin set off in the woods yet not far from Dahlonega and all it has to offer. We enjoyed the cabin, especially the screen porch. All details of the cabin are as described. This is a very cozy and comfortable place to stay!

Great Mountain Getaway

A place up on a mountain is what we wanted and exactly what we got. House is very nice and if my family and I were to visit Dahlonega again I would stay here again. Had a great time despite the rain.

Christmas in Dahlonega

The cabin was nice and comfortable. We really enjoyed the stone fireplace and the screened in porch. The road going up the mountain was pretty rough. But overall we loved our stay at the cabin and the location was awesome. Dahlonega is such a quaint town especially at Christmas time. The town was like a Hallmark movie and we really enjoyed the Montaluca winery which was just a 15 min drive from the cabin

Relaxing Fall getaway!

Once we arrived at our cabin we found everything to be exactly as pictured and described. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the screen porch or by the fire. The mountain road is a bit challenging but fortunately my husband was fairly accustomed to them having lived in NC but the rest of us Floridians may have had difficulty. The area was beautiful & we enjoyed the fall colors, a few deer sightings plus quick trips to small towns, apple orchards, Pumpkin farms, wineries and waterfalls. The host was very helpful & always responded quickly. Very enjoyable stay for the 4 of us!

Everything great, but the cockroaches

The home and property were exactly as pictured. We were excited for our stay, and aside from a few hairs in the shower upon arrival, everything looked clean and high-quality. However, the cockroaches in the upstairs bathroom ended up essentially ruining our long weekend. We saw one in the toilet the first night, but we’re from Florida and understand how “palmetto bugs” can be. There was another one in the toilet the next night, but again, not a huge deal. The third night, I walked in to find the biggest cockroach I’ve ever seen crawling inside of my makeup bag. We did what we could to get rid of it, but the nontoxic spray they had in the laundry room did nothing. I reached out to the rental company to let them know, but we only had one night left and didn’t want someone coming to spray while we were there. They didn’t offer any other solution. The last night was the worst. There were roaches in the sick, under the toilet paper roll, and in the trash can. I’m still having nightmares about cockroaches. This should be taken care of with regular visits from an exterminator between guests, Will not be coming back.

Gloriously quiet

Our family of grandparents, parents and 2 young adults had a wonderful few days at this property. The house was clean and well supplied with essentials (toilet paper, garbage bags, toiletries, etc.) and included an amazing coffee bar that was enjoyed by all. The kitchen was adequately stocked with everything we needed to cook meals for the whole family. I particularly enjoyed the screened porch and loved the quietness of the surrounding area. If you don’t want to cook, it’s a short drive into Dahlonega for a meal and some unique shops to explore. If you enjoy community theater, my family can highly recommend the Holly Theater for a fun night out. My interactions with Jason were always pleasant and productive. I really like that he gives you all the information you need up front but is still quick to respond if you have any questions. We will definitely rent from him again in the future.

From street to cabin

It needs to be said that a car is really not a good way to get there. Luckily at the last moment I rent a suv to climb up and down the mountain. If I would have drove either of my cars it would have probably tore my fenders off. Other then that I was a super place to stay and I would again if available on next trip to Georgia mountains

Cute get a way

This place is super cute and tucked away in the forest. You do need an SUV or larger car that can handle the dirt roads for sure. Area is beautiful and the home is perfect for a friends get a way. The only issue was the bedding, it didn't seem that is was clean but luckily there was a washer and dryer on site so we could at least wash the sheets, comforters were not clean or at least stained in all rooms and you could tell this is a pet friendly rental. Emails were sent regarding the bedding but no response regarding that, when all other correspondence were received, so that was strange. Other than that it was a great place to stay, just check the bedding. Also there seems to be cameras/ monitors on the trees surrounding the property as well which was not disclosed but we were staying at a date/ time when that wasn't a rule that needed to be disclosed.

Spring Break

The house was very clean and came with enough cooking utensils to cook whatever we wanted. The bedrooms were nice but the matresses were a little too firm. There was plenty of room for our pups to play Frisbe,so that is a plus. Overall I still give it 10 rating. Thanks for working with us.we hope to return in the future. Have a wonderfull day!!

Peaceful and Clean

The listing and photos are accurate and the house was extremely clean and well cared for. The screened in porch was lovely. Linens and towels were very nice, and we appreciated the snacks and coffee/tea. Iti was nice to have luggage racks in the bedrooms. The beds have very firm memory foam tops, except for the twin which had a softer topper which worked better for me. My spouse was fine with the firmer memory foam tops. We would definitely stay again!

Great Cabin for our girls weekend!

Can’t say enough good things about this place! From ease of check-in and communication with host, to the beautiful deer each morning and evening, the cleanliness of the place, the ample amount of space, the snacks, deer food, waters, cleaning supplies, fire place and pit, etc. A wonderful stay for 6 women on our girls trip! I will note, as others have, the dirt road getting to the place isn’t for the weary, lol. SUV recommended, and 4-wheel drive if doing it in bad weather. We’d definitely recommend this place for a similar girls weekend or family get away. Charming downtown area not far either.
