We have traveled at Christmas the past 4 years and this was hands down the best house we have stayed at! It has everything you could possibly need/want. The views are breathtaking, the heated infinity pool was amazing! We snorkeled right outside of the house and the water was beautiful. We rented a car and drove all over the island, finding beaches to go to. We took a boat over to Harbour Island where you can rent a golf cart to explore. The hosts were very easy to work with, always responded quickly. Phil, the on island manager, was great! Would definitely come back to this house and would recommend it to anyone!!

The view was beautiful, restful, and having an on-site pool made it even better. Power outage was a temporary problem, but the manager is very responsive to any issues.

We had a complicated stay by no fault of anyone directly. Upon arrival, there was no AC in the main room and the master went out during the first night. Luckily the other two rooms were cool and we shifted everyone around for the night. The living room AC was fixed day 3. Kevin had wonderful communication and had people on site as quickly as possible. We did have a fly issue from having to keep the sliding glass door open to cook- again, Kevin offered accommodations to help. The space: the living room is much prettier in person! The TV is bigger too than the pictures. The house was extremely clean and well stocked- spices, cook ware, kids plates and spoons, plastic bags, alcohol that you just replace upon use. The deck is wonderful. We did get a splinter but that's any outdoor deck- we just wore shoes from pool to the inside the rest of the time! No big deal and they had a first aid kit if you forgot one! Pool is wonderful. It could use a good scrub on the bottom but we arrived during the off season so no big deal to us. The beds are comfortable- the master shower is amazing. We always love an outdoor shower! We felt extremely safe the whole time. Traveling with young children, that's a top priority for us. There is the island farmer market about 5 min away- we went almost daily. The market is about 10 min away. We did arrive to empty water jugs so we needed to make the a priority ASAP for drinking water. I do wish we had some already there.

12 Days of Bliss

My wife and I stayed at this lovely property for an early 25th anniversary celebration, and it was absolutely magnificent. Like many of the small convenience stores on Eleuthera, the best way to describe Laguna is “if they don’t have it, you don’t need it…” Truly one of the best equipped vacation rentals we’ve stayed at in many years of travel. Extremely comfortable, well maintained, meticulously thought out, and protected from frequent island power outages by a substantial automatic generator, this place is truly first class. We will be back with our kids next time so they can enjoy all this villa has to offer!

Paradise Found

We’ve been lucky enough to visit Eleuthera a number of times and once again, Eleuthera did not disappoint. Our stay at Laguna was a big part of that! One of, if not, the best equipped houses we’ve stayed at - they have everything, and it’s all in great shape! As great as the inside of the house is, the outside steals the show. The view, the pool, the deck - we had to force ourselves to leave and go exploring but it was always great to come back to Laguna. Hosts are very responsive and you can tell they care. Kudos as well to the cleaning crew and care taker, house was spotless when we arrived. Highly recommend!

The house delivered again

This was our second time spending a couple of weeks in February at this lovely home. It’s all about the pool and the sunsets for us. Again….very glad for the generator as the power went out a few times. Already can’t wait to come back.

Not your typical hustle and bustle getaway

When we set out to book this trip we wanted something different. We are used to the cruising/resorts vacation life where everything is planned for you and all you have to do is show up. From the moment we saw pictures it drew us in, and even more so when we read about it. Never hearing of Eleuthera we began doing some research of the island itself. The host's answered every question we had even prior to booking. We flew into North Eleuthera Airport which is a little over an hour from the house. Govenors Harbour Airport is closer but North Eleuthera worked better on getting there without as many stops. We rented a car which we picked up right at the airport and kept it for our entire stay. There are no "major" car rental companies but there are plenty of small businesses that have cars to rent. These cars aren't in the best condition but it got us where we needed to go. Driving to the house was fun, we stopped at a few places along the way as our arrival was during the day. We definitely discussed how much of a challenge navigating this place for the first time would have been if it was dark out. The house was everything the host's said it was. Simply amazing. We went to "find" a lot of the beaches which was like a fun scavenger hunt sometimes, watched the sunset every night from the deck,enjoyed each other's company, and tried some of the local restaurants. The list of things the host's tell you there is to do, they were spot on. Rent a 4x4.

Family weekend

My husband and I chose to stay at this beautiful home as we were visiting our daughter who was attending The Island school for the semester. The views from the back deck were breathless and we enjoyed watching the sunset from the pool which was a nice amenity.

Looking Forward to Coming Back!

This is a special house for our group. It was our second trip and we can’t wait to be back! Perfect location, always well stocked, and the family and property manager couldn’t be easier to work with. Highlights included kayaking out to the Pineapple Cays and daily visits to the Island Farm. Thanks to Phil for always answering our questions and helping us when needed! Seclusion in paradise

House is very spacious and lots of natural light. The master bedroom's bed is extremely comfortable. However, the A/C in that particular room does not cool as well as the other bedrooms (and the humidity is oddly higher in that bedroom). Not unbearable in early May but I'm not sure that we'd have been very happy with it during the peak of summer. The kitchen and bathrooms are large and spacious. Washer and dryer worked well the couple of times we used them. Extras such as the kiyaks were neat. Just be mindful that they're kinda heavy so you'll need two people to get them down to the water. The water is beautiful and exploring the rocky shoreline was a fun adventure.

Amazing Villa

The most amazing villa, spacious, modern, well cooled/ventilated, well stocked and everything worked. Beautiful pool and kayaks to explore in. Only difficulty was it had a rocky entry to the sea, although most villas do on the Caribbean side, and you need a car. Amazing place and would like to visit again some day. Excellent value.

Excellent Vacation Rental with Stunning Views

We had such a great time at this rental. The house is very comfortable, and the views are spectacular! The main area is all windows, and the water is so close you often feel like you are on a boat floating in the ocean. The large deck is perfect with lots of seating and umbrellas for shade. The heated pool is absolutely perfect, large enough to swim laps and floats to just relax. The hosts have thought of everything you could need, even have a closet with extra toiletries or medications you may need or have forgotten. Quick to respond to questions and great with communication your vacation is bound to be great. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful spot

This lovely home lives up to the description. Having the pool was heaven. The house has everything you need and lovely the “Community” philosophy on sharing those things you don’t want to throw out, but also don’t want to have to buy- like olive oil, spices, etc. is great . We arrived after the island had experienced a bad storm that saw power, internet outages. Thankfully the generator meant that there was power. Minor issues relating to getting the place rebooted were dealt with quickly by the very responsive owners and Phil. Loved being close to some great beaches, the sunsets were magical and everything you could need or want were close by. We have been coming to Eleuthera for years but somehow had never discovered Eleuthera Island Farm- what a place with fresh veggies, herbs, baking, meat, wine, cheese etc. We already have a second trip booked. Can’t wait. Thanks Kevin and Stephanie for sharing your beautiful bit of heaven with us.

Awesome Bahama Retreat

Wow, what a view and amazing place to relax with family. Very private Eleuthera retreat in South Palmetto Point. Kevin and Stephanie were great to coordinate with. We hope to return.

Great Vacation Spot

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Laguna. It had everything that you could possibly need for a relaxing vacation. Power went out several times and the emergency generator kicked on immediately never causing any issues. Sunsets in the infinity pool were a highlight of our trip. We would not hesitate to book here again.

Peaceful Paradise

What an amazing property. It is exactly as described but even more beautiful in person. The communication with Stephanie, Kevin and the property Manager-Phil was excellent we were treated like VIP guests. The directions, guidance, tips were perfect. The location is breathtaking. The infinity pool over that beautiful blue water is peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped which is perfect because you want to eat every meal looking out at the stunning view. The grill was top notch also. We appreciated the other travelers who left some spices/baking goods and snacks to share- and we left some as well. We enjoyed the use of the pool floats, fins and ocean kayak. We loved exploring on the rocky beach, snorkeling along the shore line and seeing all of the sea creatures- living conch, sand dollars, tiny fishes, curious barracuda and some of the most beautifully colored and living corals. Just around the corner was Eleuthera Island Farm with all sorts of food/liquor items. We are looking forward to return to "Lutra" and would love to stay here again.

Great Spot

This listing was exactly as depicted. It is a lovely home in a great neighborhood. Very central location. We appreciated all the amenities and all the suggestions the owners supplied with local favorite eateries, beaches, etc. Would 100% stay here again.

Wonderful stay

The house, the view, the pool were all amazing. We love Eleuthera and can’t wait to come back. Quick response from homeowners when a problem arouse and they send someone to fix/look quickly. We loved everything about the house. The kitchen is amazing!

Guys, this house has it all! Our two week February warm weather vacation was just perfect in this house. Salt water pool….amazing. The view from the deck and the view whilst in the pool, spectacular. So many chairs and lounger with umbrellas to choose from. The generator…most helpful as there were two planned outages during our stay. Btw, Stephanie gave us a heads up about the outages because her communication was outstanding. When the other reviewers talk about how well stocked the kitchen is, truer words have never been typed. If I were a baker I could have made a cake from scratch with the pantry items. It sorta felt like you’re part of a community in that you use some, you leave some. I love this kitchen and I’m for sure ruined from any other home rental in the future. The primary bed (only one we used) was very comfortable. We also LOVED this location for our first time on Eleuthera. Super central and easy to get around. Lots of great beaches on both sides of the island that are very close to drive to and there’s a few books about the beaches at the house for reference. Our time at this lovely home were so relaxing I’ll be sure to stay here again when we return. Not one complaint. Thanks, Stephanie and Kevin, for sharing your lovely home.
