We enjoyed our stay!! The cabin is so well stocked, with all of the essentials of home! It was clean & organized. Very well decorated, with a hunting cabin them. So rustic & quaint!! The communication with the owner was wonderful. We loved it & would definitely come back.

This place was located in a beautiful area! We loved relaxing in the middle of no where and enjoying the peace and quiet together with our 2 dogs, it was amazing! Its also only 15-20 minutes away from other attractions, gas stations, grocery stores, etc. Which was another super big plus! The only things we have to say that would be "bad" is the water... its a well, and the water is very inconsistent. It comes in and out any time you try to use it. It was very difficult to do dishes, cook, and shower, but we managed. We were also disappointed that we couldnt use the fire pit due to what seemed to be melted plastic and/or other garbage left in, but we gathered sticks from the back yard and used the little table top grill that was there to make hot dogs and smores. All in all, we had a fantastic time! Thank you to the host's for allowing us to stay there, you truly have a beautiful property!

We vacated after 2 days and forfeited the last 3 nights rental fees. PROS: Huge, well decorated for hunting, semi-secluded, priced as other area cabins, security--cameras everywhere, lots of deer, washer and dryerCONS: 1. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE --When I asked owner via vrbo email 1 day ahead of travel, he stated he added an extra railing to steps of porch. OK, but original railing was loose. Second floor not accessible.2. Cabin smelled, even after 4 cans of febreeze. I thought it was musty from being closed up, like an attic. My wife thought it was something else.2. Toilet was miniature, as was air conditioner for over 900 sq ft building. Please see pictures.3. Owner not friendly. When asked for directions, instead he provided address and refused phone number. Google maps gave directions to address provided. There are no signs when you exit the interstate. After searching for over 20 minutes, we found a road sign and proceeded to the street given. After asking a rude neighbor (they apparently don't like renters), we found a cabin with a rock with the owner's name on the lawn, but no street address. Name but not a number? How were we expected to look for a name on a rock?4. No batteries in tv remote, firestick only worked sporadically, wi-fi very spotty.5. 3x5 cards everywhere with dos and don'ts, including directions to strip bed & put all dirty linen and towels at washer. What is the cleaning fee on our bill for?Could add more, but limited space.

Hunter's paradise

The hunting cabin is well equipped with almost all the cooking pots pans . There are some small appliances that do well in makings your everyday stuff the coffee pot toaster oven microwave. If you do stove top the induction cook top works well . The loft space sleeping space was open and comfortable stares are sturdy and rails. There is a good amount of trophies and taxidermy decor. So some might find it offensive .wildlife was around all the time while I was there dear bear squirrels all kinds of birds. Your nabors are very nice and helpful folk getting me out of a jam (jack knife my boat in driveway polled me out thanks Jeff. ) The flying chain saw cleaning rightaways was something also. The wi-fi is limited there is no cellphone service. If you need your technology bring your star link or similar devices . I would love to come back again. Boating on Stonewall was amazing. Don't take your boat up the driveway keep it in the yard below. The drive is steep and rocky but not to much trouble .
The pictures didn't do the place well its nice clean shade on the porch all day.

Wifi experience

Cabin was great, location great. There was little to no wifi. The listing stated wifi and tv. Well there was hardly ever any wifi, so no tv. Most important, no cell service... we had a great time otherwise. Need to improve the wifi or get satellite service. The listing was misleading....

Had all the amenities for a week long stay, wifi to watch TV. Close enough to a Walmart to get whatever was needed.

Nice and quiet place. The owner is very communicative! The place was amazing only thing was the water pressure was next to none for the shower. Other than that! Wow I loved it here! It’s a nice place to get away and spend with family OR go hunting!

Great cabin! The only issue I had was the bathtub wouldn't drain very well. Otherwise, the stay was everything we wanted! Will come again!

Country Getaway

The place was easy to find, we loved having one big bedroom. We had some questions when we first arrived and our host got back to us immediately. We were concerned that it would be chilly due to the dip in nighttime temperatures but the place was warm and cozy. Internet was spotty but we have found on our trips to West Virginia that was to be expected.

Time Out

We loved it! Its not a hotel if that is what you are looking for, it is a hunting camp and it is great! Lots of wildlife to see and hear, close to the lake,(although this time West Va. happened to be in a drought) and all kinds of places to check out! Will absolutely go again!!
