Perfect location, small town charm, waterfront park
We loved the location of this property right in the heart of a quaint small town. Boutique shops and a number of restaurants are in close (as in across the street) walking distance. Equally close is the waterfront park just outside the property's deck. We used the two cruiser bikes to explore the park and the bike trails. There's a neat "swinging bridge" across the river. Very scenic area! Harry S Truman State Park is a short drive away.
The apartment itself is modest looking from the outside, but very attractive and clean inside. It is located in the lower level below a boutique shop. It has unique old character, but updated kitchen and bath, so it was very comfortable. The bed was low but amazingly comfy. There's a deck with patio table and chairs, but it was a bit chilly the nights we were there.
I will mention there's a very narrow hall and doorways, and several places where the floor has a ridge or step to a different level, most notably in the bathroom. We had no problems, but a person with physical limitations may want to check about this ahead of time.
Overall, we loved our stay here and would gladly return. Communication with the host was great and he always answered our questions promptly, even when we were checking in past 10 pm. Glad we found this place to stay!
