Rainy weekend forecasts meant we had to make a last-minute change to our camping retreat plans. This cabin was an easy drive from Kansas City, and the screened porch was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Everything was clean and just as described. I wished I had noticed that it was a charcoal grill, not propane, so that I could have planned better for meals. It was cozy, and fit our needs for a quick revamp.

Weekend stay

The propery was very nice. The rooms were great and we loved that there were fans and AC units in all the rooms. The area was decently quiet. We spent most of our time on the screened porch for meals and just hanging out. Love that it was pet friendly and that we could bring our dogs

Cozy

Stay was great. We were just there to visit friends. They came by and we enjoyed the screened in porch. Only thing that was difficult was parking with a boat trailer. The book left at the house said it could be parked down by the boat ramp but we weren’t comfortable with that.

Thank you for the kind review! We're so glad you had a great stay and enjoyed time with friends on the screened-in porch — it’s one of our favorite spots too. We appreciate your feedback on the trailer parking. While we've never had any issues with guests using the area by the boat ramp, we completely respect your decision. Thanks again for staying with us — we'd love to host you again!

Very clean and quiet location. I apologize for checking in early. Severe weather moving in had us concerned about our fishing equipment.

and was very easy. Everything came before hand to be able to access the property. Kitchen was everything we needed. Wi-Fi works great as we didn’t have any phone service down there, so it was really nice to have this option. We love the morning scenery of the deer who came basically to the porch. Everything worked great, close to the water, with easy access to the boat ramp.

Review

Boat slip and ramp were being repaired, could use another one but it was not as expected. No place on or around property to clean fish….the reason we were there. And there were termites and carpenter bugs on the deck and in the kitchen. Looked pretty clean but it was not a comfortable stay.

Hi Rhonda, we’re sorry to hear your stay didn’t meet expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- We wish we had known more about your fish cleaning needs ahead of time, we could have recommended options during our pre-check-in conversation.- We did mention the boat slip was temporarily relocated, but we regret if this wasn’t clear or didn’t meet your expectations.- Our team completed a thorough cleaning before your arrival and found no insect activity at the time. We maintain routine pest control and will continue monitoring closely.- We made several attempts to connect during your stay and are sorry we couldn’t reach you—we always aim to resolve concerns quickly when we're made aware. Thanks again for your feedback, we’re committed to improving and hope to provide a better experience in the future.
