Inez and David are excellent hosts - extremely homey environment, excellent breakfast selection, and overall great humans! I stayed in the Bear’s Den for 3 months for work, and I am so happy I chose this bed and breakfast over a hotel. Very quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors, driveway parking, great air conditioning, mini fridge in the room. Ask Inez to make cookies they are great! 10/10, would recommend to anyone traveling through Burlington, IA.

We could not have picked a better place to stay. Location was close to the events we attended downtown. Conversations at breakfast with the hosts were very enjoyable. Breakfasts were excellent and the room and bed were very comfortable. Thank you for the wonderful weekend getaway.

Comfortable and Welcoming

This inn is located on a beautiful river bluff overlooking the Mississippi River in Burlington. The inn was all we needed and more. Our host was thoughtful and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, complete with a Tempur-pedic bed. Our breakfast were healthy and delicious. We really enjoyed our stay.

We were thrilled with the quiet, comfortable, spacious room. It was great for sleeping and for reading. The house and property are beautiful and fascinating historically and architecturally. The hosts were incredibly kind and even helped us out with a car issue. Breakfasts were generous and delicious--quiche, coffee cake, fruit salad, etc. We had a great time and were well pleased.

Inez was A-Mazing!!! She was so sweet and kind and made us feel at home immediately. On our last day our departure time was moved up unexpectedly and her and David still made us breakfast even tho it was an hour earlier than originally planned. The food was delicious!wa son loved egg
