Welcome to Long Bend Hideaway

Riverfront home on the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River offering a large screened porch overlooking the River!

This newly remodeled home offers a screened porch, kitchen, dining room, living room, three bedrooms, and a bathroom.
   
Outdoors, you will find a firepit, picnic table, lawn chairs, grill, and access down to the river. The Juniata River offers a great place to sit and relax and build a campfire or if you want to get out on the water you can fish, kayak, or canoe.  Kayaks are available with a signed waiver. Raystown Lake is located approximately 25 minutes away. The depth and clarity of the river will depend upon the weather and cannot be guaranteed by the property owner.

The Kitchen is stocked with dinnerware, cookware, kitchen utensils, microwave, and Keurig. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom are all stocked with linens and towels.

Cell phone service is limited, and no house phone is available. WIFI is provided by Brightspeed and is 10Mbps or less. Flatscreen TV has a firestick connected.

NOTE:
Firewood is not provided.
Kayaks are usable with a signed waiver.
No parties or fireworks.
No Smoking.
No Pets.

Beautiful Property

The screened in porch was beautiful! We loved waking up to the fish splashing in the water and the bird chirping! Not too far from in town but feels like you are in the middle of no where and in paradise.

Great Escape!!!

This property is quiet-peaceful- relaxing. The screened in porch was very convenient when it started raining. Very well decorated and clean. We had a great weekend!!! Will definitely consider staying here again!!

Lovely weekend getaway!

This property was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The location is remote and the river access is spectacular. The home is very tastefully decorated and stocked with everything you need. The only thing you need to bring is food and toiletries. Cody is an amazing host. He is super accommodating and very responsive. We will definitely be booking again when we are back in the area.

Longbend Hideaway is a little slice of Heaven tucked away in the winding roads of PA

Longbend Hideaway, is a little slice of heaven tucked away in the winding roads of PA. It is a beautiful home situated along side the Juniata river. Cody Smith is an excellent host, quick in response and assistance if needed. This is our second stay at one of his properties. This home has many great amenities, the fire table being one of them. When it was raining and we couldn't utilize the outdoor firepit, having this available was great!! We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and a chorus of various birds singing, and some bullfrogs croaking. I can not wait to book again, and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of DC area.

Beautiful location!

We loved this house! It's clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, lots of room, a beautiful dining room and a kitchen well-stocked. It has everything you need. I loved the screened in porch with the fire and stone. It's very quiet and peaceful and right on the river! We made a fire outside in the stone fire pit every day. An incredible view! We were there at the end of October and the autumn leaves were amazing! Magnificent! We will definitely be back. Cody was very responsive and answered all our questions.

Tranquil Setting

Nicely updated cottage along the beautiful Juniata River. Enjoyed sitting by the river at the fire pit. So relaxing. Very clean and comfortable home. Be sure to bring your own bath soap as none was provided and there are no stores close by. We left an extra bar of soap for the next guest. We had a difficult time finding firewood for sale. Bring fire starters and collect kindling along the road. We left an extra lighter. Some of the information regarding restaurants needs to be updated. Internet and TV service is unreliable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this properly for those looking for quiet and relaxation.
