Overall, not great. When we arrived at the property we found that it was a two-bedroom rather than the listed 3-bedroom unit. We wrote to the host through the VRBO email system and did not receive a reply within 5 hours. We then called VRBO, and spent over an hour with them on the phone, apparently trying to verify what we had told them (including a video walk through of the property). At the end of this they said they would reach out to the host. When they did, the host immediately contacted us and said that he had accidentally placed us in the wrong unit. He directed us to the correct unit and we moved over. This unit was clean and modern, but two of the bedrooms were quite small. One had what looked like two queen beds side-by-side that took up the whole room - barely any room to walk, with no night stand or other furniture. Moreover, there was a lot of deferred maintenance, with the plumbing fixtures being loose, the dishwasher not anchored, light bulbs missing, and very cheesy and sparse furnishings in the main room. We made do, but will not be staying here again. Definitely not worth the price!

Great stay!

I looked in the Ann Arbor area for a place to stay before our half marathon race this past weekend, and this place stood out because of its location and cleanliness. We were a group of 5 girls with our husbands who came to support our run. We really enjoyed our stay as there was room for all of us to hang out, 4 beds and a pullout couch (we just brought one extra travel bed instead of using the couch), and enough bathrooms to get ready. We felt very comfortable and rested before our race. It was also a nice area, next to meijer and some other stores if we needed to buy anything last minute. Also, the owner was always super quick to respond to any questions I had (usually within 5 minutes!) I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area. (One note is that you’ll have to bring water bottles since the fridge doesn’t have drinking water.)Thank you for a great stay!

Worked for us

Good but needs a little tlc. Would I stay here again? Yes but I would also know what I was getting in to.The location was great for what we had planned and was plenty of space for all of us. It was a nice neighborhood with highway access, easy parking, groceries immediately nearby, and a simple 2.5 miles to get to U of M.On the opposite side, things need a little tlc. Loose doorknobs, the dishwasher not screwed in place, and the refrigerator door doesn't close properly are a few that immediately come to mind. You can tell this is a rental property without owners around frequently. Also, don't plan on big meals as the kitchen is lacking when it comes to pots/pans and cutlery amongst other things. Interesting too is that there is sleeping for 8 but only 4 seats in the living room.
