This cozy lake front log cabin, built in the 1940's, is under an hour from NYC! There's such character with this home. You can spend your mornings drinking coffee on the deck overlooking the lake and spend your evenings relaxing with a warm fire. There is a primary bedroom with a king bed, the loft bedroom with a full bed as well as a queen sleeper sofa. Quiet, restful and relaxing! *while directly on lake, with beautiful views, no lake access permitted for renters. Bubbling springs lake is close is close as is Mountain Creek. Excellent hiking trails nearby.

This rental couldn’t have been more perfect for a weekend getaway from city life. The location, was amazing and Michelle made every bit of this process as easy as can be. My partner and I enjoyed reading the guest book (which we also signed) and seeing how much happiness this cabin has brought to so many. Would rent again and recommend

West Milford Cabin

Michelle is responsive and a wonderful, helpful host. It is a clean and lovely cabin with a spacious feel. All rooms, including the kitchen, are well furnished. Morning coffee on the deck overlooking a lake was a joy. Only caution: the top stair and bathtub may be a concern for people with mobility difficulties. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great place in a great spot

It's a really nice cottage. It's well furnished, well kept and well equipped. The view on the lake is magnificent. Lots of peace and quiet. We had a great stay.

Just beautiful

Everything about our stay was perfect and peaceful. Michelle was a wonderful host, this was my first time booking on vrbo and she made it easy and always responded. Check in was super easy and no issues. The house and grounds and lake are so beautiful and the furniture and decoration were lovely. Thanks so much for everything!

Overall our stay was nice. We were in town for a wedding so we weren’t there too long on any day, but I think if we were, it wouldn’t have been as nice of a stay.You can’t swim in the lake, and it was so hot outside we didn’t spend any time on the deck. My son and I walked around the yard and the lake, and this cabin on the outside is not nice looking, especially compared to others. There are no plants or any landscaping and the yard was pretty rough too. I could see the deck being nice at night, but during the day, except the lake, everything was kind of an eye sore. When we arrived at the cabin, it was terribly hot and uncomfortable. The host should have had the AC units going so it was cool for our arrival. It didn’t cool down enough to be comfortable for almost 48 hours. The cabin itself was very clean and cute, but extremely dark. It definitely needs more light especially in the upstairs bedrooms. I would not recommend this place for older folks or young children. The upstairs bedroom ceilings are very low and the bedroom with the only shower/bath has a step down so that coupled with low ceilings and darkness makes it actually dangerous. We all hit our heads multiple times and tripped going into that bedroom.There is a beach directly across from the cabin where we saw people swimming but we were told we couldn’t go in the lake. It was hard, especially for my son, to see people swimming on days when it was so hot.
