Surfside Beach House

This special vacation home is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. Ideal location across from the beach, just minutes to drive or bike into historic downtown St. Augustine. The 1950's coastal bungalow is set on Vilano Beach's historical Street. The home has been completely remodeled, plenty of parking and is pet friendly. Surfside's pet friendly beach access/parking and North Shore Community Park is 1 block away with tennis/ pickle ball courts, playground and dog park.

We do ask if your pet sheds excessively, that you bring blanket/sheet to cover the couch/beds. Otherwise, there will be additional cleaning charges.
If your stay is through Friday, we ask that our guests pull the trash can/recycle bin to the end of the driveway Thursday night for early am pick up.

We loved the beach house. Had wonderful trip to Vilano, ten minutes to St. Augustine. So quite at nite could hear the waves crashing with the windows open. Two minute walk to beach, House had everything we needed during the trip

This is the cutest house in the perfect location, right across the street from the beach! The owner left so many cute touches - a spot for your flip flops, yoga mats, and even a dog blanket/supplies! We thoroughly enjoyed our quick stay and hope to return and spend more time in St. Augustine. Thank you for hosting us and providing the perfect spot for our quick Thanksgiving trip.

Wonderful beach house! Very close to the beach and dog park. Very clean, cute, and comfy beds. Kitchen had everything we needed and we loved having the dishwasher. We used it every day. Thank you for sharing your home. Lori was a wonderful host.

The location was absolutely incredible. No more than 2 blocks away from the beach (entrance at that!). That alone is worth getting this house but the only thing and the only reason we gave it a 4/5 stars is because the house inside is not entirely “new”. It was clean don’t get me wrong but very old or at least not modern. The shower, the ceiling corners, the lamps, sometimes had spider webs and it just felt old or cozy. If you don’t mind staying in a place that’s not modern then for sure get this place. There was plumbing issue and we couldn’t flush the toilet the first night and half a day BUT the host had a plumber come as soon as we told her. A very sweet host that actually picked up the phone when we had emergencies so I appreciated that greatly. Again and how I can end this review is….if you only care for location and comfortability get this house. If you’re looking for modern and impeccably clean house this is not your go too.

The house fit all of our needs. Modern kitchen with all the basics we needed even enjoyed the grill a couple of nights. Made full use of the beach chairs that were provided. Quiet neighbor with a short walk to a great beach. Easy to get around with a grocery store close.

we took our daughter for her 18th birthday weekend and she had a great time only complaint was that it felt like something was biting her when she was in bed in the room that has a window facing the porch. we did not find anything when we checked but she did have small bite marks on her leg

The location was even closer to the beach than the pictures make it seem. So easy to get around and such a perfect spot for a little trip to the beach

Came to St. Augustine for a concert and chose this property instead of a hotel. Great stay, close to the beach, and much better than a hotel room!

Great cottage near thebeach

We really enjoyed the location and space. It was a short drove to historic St. Augustine but only a 1 block walk to the beach. It had everything we needed for 2 people and 2 small dogs. The house is compact but very functional.Thank you!

Loved It!

It was amazing! The house was extremely clean and the walk time to the beach was accurate. The amenities in the house were more than what was listed, which was fantastic! Our pets had everything that they needed plus some. The beach was quiet and we could actually enjoy our time without loud noise and a lot of people. The host was very accommodating and easy to contact. We 100% recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

Very Nice Bungalow

My wife and I were in Punta Gorda for the winter we decided to make a stop in Vilano for a few days to check it out on our way home. We saw this house on VRBO and decided to rent it. We are glad we did. It is a very nice home. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. It is also steps to the beach and very close (walkable) to downtown restaurants and fishing pier. Would definitely stay here again.

Felt like we were guests at a friend's house.

A nice little beach house with everything you need for a comfortable week's visit (including beach towels & chairs & more). Publix is close by and the kitchen has everything you need for eating in. There are lots of restaurant options.The beach is 2 blocks away (an easy walk). House furnishings are cheerful. We enjoyed our stay.

New Orleans Road Trip

long road trip, spent 3 nights here. everything previously mentioned is true. very close to the beach, quiet neighborhood, actually very nice inside with good sized rooms. what I really wanted to say here is that staying at hotels & houses comes down to the details. it's the little things that you start to notice. of everywhere we've been, this is in the top list: unlimited coffee, dog blankets, fluffy towels, very well organized and labeled, kleenex and soap.so keep up the good work, people notice and it matters.

Insgesamt eine wirklich tolle Unterkunft. Allerdings war die Matratze im Hauptschlafzimmer mehr als erneuerungsbedürftig. In der Garage befindet sich bis auf einen Sonnenschirm vieles was man für einen Strandaufenthalt benötigt.

Still a great place….

Second time to the property for a weekend getaway and still happy with my stay! Priced right, close to the beach, close to the grocery store and less than a 10 minute drive to downtown St Augustine! If available when we need it we’ll be back!

I grew up in Indiana and moved to Jacksonville, Florida as a teenager. I have lived the rest of my life in Florida, and love it! Currently, my husband and I travel back and forth between Florida and California for work. The Surfside home is our home when we are in Florida.

From my teenage years through adulthood, I have always chosen Vilano Beach as my "private beach" to visit. My Husband and I finally bought ourselves our beach bungalow one block from the beach!

The home is one block from the beach, and the Surfside Beach approach (parking, showers, bathrooms, etc.). We are also 1/2 block away from the Vilano community center with tennis and pickle ball courts, as well as a children's playground and dog park. The neighborhood is dog friendly. We are also within 2 miles of downtown St. Augustine, and within 3 miles of the St. Augustine farmer's market and St. Augustine Amphitheater.
