The Space:
From the moment you pull through the gates of Tahoe Dreamer, you’ll understand the exact reason for its name: a smiling bear carving will say hello with a paw raised in greeting. Return the greeting in kind before entering the home through the front door, where you’ll reach an ample-sized mudroom with plenty of space to store your snowy boots and winter gear.
Once you pass through the entranceway to the main living space, you’ll enter into the large kitchen area, which is decorated with incredible stone countertops and has more space than you could ever need while cooking a huge family meal. With brand-new stainless steel appliances, a built-in oven, a stove top range built into the island, and other necessities like a state-of-the-art blender and coffee maker, you’ll be well-supplied to craft your favorite recipes in this gorgeous kitchen. Once your meals are ready to serve, there’s seating for 3 at the kitchen island or head over to the long wooden dining room table, whose ample space allows seating for up to 10 of your friends and family.
The main living area is located only a few steps away, featuring a cozy sectional couch and plenty of extra seating for your guests. The highlight of this living room is the tall stone fireplace, which is perfect to sit in front of after a long day of cruising down the slopes, and the modern 55” TV. There’s also a conveniently-placed wine fridge, so you can enjoy a glass while winding down from a day spent enjoying Tahoe activities.
Head down the stairs to take a look at the game room, which is stocked with essentials such as a foosball table, a shuffleboard table, and two pinball machines to choose from. Here you also find a small living area with seating for two on this lower level, perfectly-placed in front of a fireplace for some warmth while you watch the 46” TV or play a few games on the Nintendo Wii.
The bedrooms are the star of the show in this incredible home. While the king-sized bed and the ample closet spaces are certainly perks, the real highlight of this area is the bathroom, which is equipped with a huge copper tub to soak in and a matching copper sink.
In the second bedroom, you’ll find a beautiful wooden king bed along with a comfy couch that turns into a full-sized bed for extra guests. There are also two large closets in this room, each of which will provide ample storage for all of your luggage and sporting equipment. The third and fourth bedrooms both feature queen beds, and are a treat for bear lovers of all stripes–one of them even comes with bear-themed lamps on either nightstand. These final bedrooms share a bathroom, which is equipped with a gorgeous stone stand-up shower and a stylish wooden vanity.
On the top floor, there is an activity room with extra sleeping areas for your guests. In addition to the twin and full-sized beds, there’s also a selection of board games to choose from to help entertain yourselves on a day inside.
The outdoor spaces are also a highlight of Tahoe Dreamer. Out front, there is a patio area where you can enjoy the trees and a table with seating for up to 4, along with a grill for guests to utilize. There’s also a few more bear-themed surprises to uncover, such as the smiling bear bench and the bear carving that’s gazing at the Tahoe stars through a telescope, located around the backside of the house.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home, including the outdoor spaces. The garage isn't available for parking, however, there is enough space for up to 6 vehicles in the driveway. The garage can be accessed through the game room and guests will have access to the amenities available in the garage (beach chairs, high chair, sleds, umbrella, etc.).
The Neighborhood:
Tahoe Dreamer is located in a quiet, forested neighborhood that provides easy access to all of Tahoe’s seasonal activities and is only a 7-minute walk from nearby Patton Beach (where you’ll find a ton of water activities to choose from) and a 10-minute stroll to Carnelian West Beach. There’s also quite a few restaurants in the area that are worth checking out, such as the Old Post Office Cafe and CB’s Bistro, both located right down the street from Tahoe Dreamer, so you won’t have to travel far for a bite to eat.
If you’re visiting during the winter months, this home will put you only a 16-minute drive to Northstar Ski Resort and only 22 minutes from Squaw Valley/Palisade Tahoe. For cross country skiing enthusiasts, Tahoe Dreamer is just an 8-minute drive from Tahoe XC, one of the best places for Nordic skiing in the area. This home is also just minutes away from Tahoe Vista and only less than a 10-minute drive from Kings Beach, where you’ll find all of the restaurants, shops, boutiques, and art galleries you desire.
Magic Carpet Golf & Arcade: They have two 19-hole courses and one 28-hole course. There are also miniature golf courses and an arcade.
Garwoods: A popular restaurant that's right on the lake and only a five-minute walk. They have inside and outdoor seating. Check it out for great views and an awesome environment.
Getting Around:
Tahoe Dreamer is conveniently located off of Highway 28, but even if you haven’t brought your own vehicle, you’re only a 7-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. From there, it’s a 20-minute ride to the Tahoe City Transit Center, where you can connect to a number of routes that will take you anywhere you need to go, from Squaw Valley/Palisades Tahoe all the way up to Truckee for a day trip.
Uber/Lyft are also available in Tahoe for all your transportation needs.
Other Things to Note:
Please note, this home has a lot of stairs. There are baby gates provided for infants and small children, however.
For those who are planning to book a stay from November to March, remember that there is a high chance of dealing with winter driving conditions. A 4-wheel drive vehicle or snow chains are recommended to park in this driveway during the winter months, and are necessary to travel safely in Tahoe. Even if the snow hasn’t fallen in some time, neighborhood roads can still be icy or packed with snow. Also be aware that travel times are longer during the winter and the pass closures often occur because of winter weather conditions.
Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.
Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.
