Weekend Getaway
Communication is key, folks! On both sides. We had a miscommunication around the hot tub because we as guests really wanted a hot tub and only saw the listing but did not catch on to written overview. And Adriel as a host was not clear that the hot tub was being offered on VRBO as it had not been completely ready or functioning for the season yet…Whoopsies.
However, once we all realized the misunderstanding, Adriel could not have been more gracious and willing to help find us a compromise. Her sweet attitude went a very long way in our decision to remain on the premises. The other factor in us wanting to stay is that the home is one of the most aesthetically stylish places we've ever stayed. It's on the minimal side, which we appreciate, but the furniture, the blankets, even the bathroom fixtures are so pretty. (Personal confession: It's a testament to my Catholic schoolgirl upbringing that I didn't steal that wonderful pink velvet office chair!! Where did you get that?? I need it.) One can tell that Adriel has put a lot of thought into the small things. Like chargers on both sides of the bed. And one of the best appointed kitchens we've ever enjoyed! (Add a hot tub in the mix and I don't think we would have left voluntarily!)
Thank you, Adriel, for your hospitality. Thanks also to Ren and Max for the tail wags, doggie kisses and yoga companionship.We frequently visit the OBX area and I can foresee us staying again in the future.
