We had an incredible stay at this property. The house had everything we needed to feel right at homeOne of the highlights was the wildlife that we watched from the deck. The arcade room was where we spent our evenings.Everything was clean and well kept. Communication with the host was fast and smooth.We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and we will be back next year!!

Came for the Sturgis 2025 Rally and the location of this property in Lead, SD is pretty good. It’s right down the road from Deadwood and less than 30 min to Sturgis. The space downstairs in the garage is great for 4-6 bikes but the city rule about not having an unattached trailer on the street was a bummer. Check with the PD to see if they can give you suggestions on where to park your trailer if you plan on using your tow vehicle to get around some. The house was a nice size with good views but a lot of staircases, so be aware. Enjoyed having a big laundry room on the bottom floor, with laundry shoots in the bathrooms, for those days we got back from riding and needed to get those items cleaned. Wish the check out time was a little later, but it still wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely consider staying here again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mountain View Lodge. It was very clean and just as pictured. Owners were in touch with us the entire stay in case we needed anything. A great home base for this area!

Terrific!

House is big and beautiful! Close to LEAD town. The house was clean, well stocked kitchen, very fun game room downstairs, nice set-up for family gatherings, deck for watching fireworks, good towels, washer and dryer. Host left us amazing cookies as welcome, and seemed genuinely happy we had large family gather there.

The scenery is beautiful, the windows in the living space were great especially in the morning. I loved drinking my coffee on the deck!!! Lots of room for everyone and the town was great. Thank you for having us!!!

Perfect for our group of 6. We rode sxs trails all day and the house was the perfect place to come back shower and relax or get cleaned up to go out for supper. Short ride to Deadwood for supper and shopping as well. Teenagers kept entertained in game room!

Stayed here for a family ski trip! Jim was great to work with. House was very clean and accurately described. Great location for all activities and restaurants. Game room was a hit with the whole family. Would definitely stay again!

Little Family Getaway

Great place to stay! Very Clean, Cozy, Great View, Quiet and Fully Equipped. Jim was constantly in contact making sure everything was going as planned and asking if we needed anything. The Cookies were BOMB, I even ordered more!! High Recommend this place and Hosts!!

Lead Getaway

Lead/Deadwood trip that was top notch. This home was exceptionally comfy,warm and made you feel as if you were at home. Beds were comfortable. Did a quick road trip from this home to Mt Rushmore and Devils Tower, perfect day. Close to Deadwood yet located in a quiet neighborhood. Uninvited yet welcoming daily guests- deer and many turkeys. Julie and I grew up in rural Nebraska and have lived in the country all our lives. We have 2 sons that love the outdoors, fishing and hunting. We have been in the ranching business together since we got married. 8 years ago we started a brewery and it is surrounded by pastures with horses, cows and sheep grazing next to it. We love everything about rural America and the people that live outside of population centers. That's what drew us to the Black Hills and eventually to the Mountain View Lodge. We chose a beautiful cabin just minutes from all the excitement and adventure so we weren't wasting a ton of time driving. We are so excited to share this truly unique cabin with your family and friends.
