Walking Distance to Everything! Pet Friendly with Fully Fenced Yard! Track/SPAC

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this cozy, centrally-located, pet friendly, home. The Horse Lover is conveniently located next to restaurants, track, SPAC, hospital, bars, and everything you could need. It is right next to Railroad Run so you can enjoy walking & cycling safely away from traffic.

It offers brand new appliances, furniture and linens and is across the street from Market32 so you can grab & go or get groceries and cook in this spacious, well-stocked chef’s kitchen. Market32 also has a full Starbucks inside, so if you're a fan... you're in luck!

There are some really great restaurants in walking distance too. Mama Mia's Italian Restaurant is across the street and is a local's favorite.

Railroad Run is right next to the house. It's an amazing walking/cycling paved and/or gravel path that is super dog friendly! You can use this path to walk to the State Park (just 1.0 miles away) including SPAC, YMCA's awesome health club and more! There are also bicycles available to rent on the RailTrail so you can cycle around town too.

There are 2 bathrooms on the 1st floor. One bathroom has a large shower and the other one is a 1/2 bath, with no shower.

The Horse Lover sleeps 5 comfortably, but can fit 6 "if you REALLY love each other" because 2 people would need to sleep on the full-size sleeper sofa. You will need permission for 6 guests, bc we prefer 5 or less. Here's a link to how to use the Sleeper Sofa:

HEIGHT ALERT! The Horse Lover was built in 1940 and it's charming structure can accommodate folks that are <=6 feet tall in the Primary Bedroom (upstairs). Our tall guests are best suited for sleeping downstairs... or just 'MIND YOUR HEAD' upstairs.

FENCED YARD! The yard is fully fenced and secured so you can relax while your pups wander and explore (just keep the gates closed). Not only is the yard fenced, there is a new stone patio with a propane-powered fire pit and very comfortable outdoor furniture to relax after a long day at the track or an evening at SPAC. There's also an eating area outside to sit and sip. You'll love the peace and privacy!

Wonderful little house in walking distance to downtown. Clean, lovely back yard, very dog friendly, really great amenities. What really brought it over the top though was that we left our dog’s medication at the house & the owner mailed it back to us! Such kind people!

First time staying here and we loved it! The location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere (downtown, State park, Thirsty Owl). The house was clean, well stocked, and all rooms as advertised. The outdoor area is amazing! Great patio and our dog loved that the yard was fenced in. We also enjoyed the outdoor bar!!! (It helped ease the pain of watching PSU lose to Oregon in OT). Can’t say enough about this place. One of our favorites now, will definitely be back!

Great Getaway

We had a great stay at the Horse Lover in Saratoga Springs! The spacious yard was perfect for our pup to run around and enjoy, and the location couldn’t be better—an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and downtown. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. We definitely recommend this property and would stay again!

Great place!

We had an absolute wonderful stay at Robin's. The place is definitely MUCH larger in person than what appears in the photos. It was extremely comfortable and cozy. Usually after a stay I have something negative to say - even if it's minor. There is nothing negative at all. Go and enjoy!

Charming home in great location

My partner and I and our 2 dogs spent Thanksgiving in this absolutely charming home! Attention to detail abounds with everything labeled for easy operation and no guess work. Nicely appointed, great fenced in yard for my dogs, so cozy and comfortable. We felt so welcomed with coffee and snacks there for us upon arrival. Huge grocery store literally across the street! Host very responsive when snowstorm dumped on us and we needed a shovel! Look forward to staying again.

Was clean comfortable and jus the correct size for me my husband and little dogs .yard is all fenced in and safe a lot to see real close across street from food market .and great walking trails near by.love it will be going back soon

Loved the Horse Lovers cottage. Very modern with cool touches. Everything available and the convenience of Price Chopper a stone throw away. We were able to walk to Broadway where all the action’s at. Overall, wonderful experience for a fraction of the cost.

Lovely newly renovated home in convenient location!

This house far exceeded our expectations! Larger than the listing looks. Brand new everything. Lots of special details like nightlights, hooks to hang things and places for your jewelry. Kitchen was well equipped, beds comfy. Small entryway room with daybed (twin XL) was great for an extra visitor. Owner prompt to respond to all questions. Nice patio in the backyard with firepit. Next to an awesome grocery store, and walking distance to town or the racetrack (if you're a good walker). Nice trail starts at the backyard to the park and golf course. Highly recommend!

Giddy Up!

We stayed at the Horse Lover for a long weekend. The house was beautifully decorated, utilizing the compact space efficiently and in style. The Horse Lover has a grand kitchen with wonderful appliances and great space. Backyard has patio and firepit areas. The main bedroom is upstairs so if you have any climbing concerns, there are sleeping areas downstairs as well. The Horse Lover is right across from the Price Chopper for quick eats, cooking for later, or simple snacks. The shopping area also includes Mamma Mia’s - a must Italian restaurant while in Saratoga. We walked everywhere - easy flat sidewalks, about 20 to 30 minutes to town or to the race tracks. Robin, the VRBO host, was responsive and had great ideas for restaurants and Saratoga outings. We look forward to staying at the Horse Lover again to enjoy more of Saratoga!!

Wonderful rental

We stayed for a weekend and the property was perfect. It was very clean and so cute! Great location to everything and the host was very nice and very responsive to any inquiries. 10/10 would definitely rent again and reccomend.

Charming cottage in the heart of Saratoga Springs

My family gathered for a baby shower and 4 of us stayed at the Horse Lover. This small but charming cottage was so welcoming and well equipped! Beautifully decorated, comfortable and scrupulously clean! The 2 bathrooms were a plus and the large, well equipped kitchen was perfect for us to prepare food for our event. I had my elderly Australian shepherd with me and she was made welcome with dishes and treats. A few things to note - parking is very tight and we needed to leave one car across the street at the market. Also, we had planned on 5 adults and 1 was unable to attend which ended up being a blessing. The sleeping arrangements are suitable for only 3 to 4 adults rather than the 6 that they say in the listing. And be aware, as with most VRBO properties additional fees and required insurance were hefty and ended up costing us more than the rental rate.

A cozy house, a lovely stay!

This house was perfect for us (two adults plus our dog), and we had a lovely stay. It was super clean and it has all the modern amenities that you need. There were even dog bowls and treats for our dog. I also love the proximity to downtown (walkable on a nice day), and that there’s a supermarket across the street. Looking forward to returning!

Saratoga Springs is a very special place that offers nature, entertainment, horse racing, night life, arts, natural spring water, and more. The Horse Lover is located within 1 mile of almost everything you could want to do in town. You really don't even need to bring a car with you when you stay at the Horse Lover.

Right across the street is a PriceChopper Market32 with fresh food and prepared food options for grab and go! We provide a rolling grocery cart for you to run over and get what you need for your stay. Even though we provide coffee in the house, there's a Starbucks in there too for those of you that are espresso or latte aficionados!

If you are a traveling nurse or medical worker, you are 1 mile to Saratoga Hospital.

For track lovers, you have a 1 mile walk to go Win Big! Or a $10 Uber ride. It costs at least $20 to park at the track so it's best to walk or Uber anyway.

Concert goers can use the Railroad Run trail right next door to the house to walk safely away from traffic to SPAC.

In 2024 we will provide a brand new deck w/grill and an outdoor dining table & chairs for chillaxing in the beautiful weather. Also, we will provide a fully fenced yard so your pups can run free and be kept safely away from the traffic.
