Cozy Up in the Mountains!

Welcome to the Bunkhouse at Burton! Experience total bliss at our charming home nestled on 6 private acres among the shores of Lake Burton. This sweet retreat comfortably accommodates 8 guests, offering a perfect getaway for family and friends. You'll enjoy stunning lake views from the spacious porch and enjoy cozy evenings by the firepit.

The kids will love our gameroom while adults will delight in our screened porch for coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings.

Head to our fully stocked kitchen for a meal and dine al fresco if you wish! Or better yet, fire up the grill on the porch and finish with s'mores by the firepit. Be sure to catch a quick game of cornhole toss while the burgers are on the grill.

Please note that this is a lake *view* property; we do not have private dock access. During active lake (summer) months, you may walk to Anchorage Marina and rent a boat there. Please also note that the lake is lowered and marinas are closed from October - April each year.

Please note that we have a limit of 2 dogs, and any dogs must be pre-approved before booking. Each dog carries a $125 pet fee. Excessive shedding or other damage is not welcome.

Beautiful Family Home on Lake Burton

Amanda did a beautiful job updating this Lake House from top to bottom. She has an incredible eye for sophisticated design while maintaining the warm welcoming feel of a family home. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. My teens loved the game room and playing hoops in the driveway. My 6ft 4in Varsity basketball player even fit in the large bottom bunk of the bunk room. My husband and I loved early morning walks around the lake and coffee in the morning on the large screened lanai with lake view. Keep in mind there is no direct access to the lake. If you want to fish/kayak/SUP you have to drive to the marina 5 minutes away. We did rent a pontoon boat at Anchorage marina and spent a great day on the water with the kids. We loved the fish tacos and burgers at LaPrades marina across the lake for lunch. My husband and son also hired a fishing guide at Anchorage Marine one day while my daughter and I checked out Julep Farm and shopped along the charming Main St in Clayton. I would highly recommend dinner rezos for Fortify as it was our favorite meal. We also loved hiking Tallulah Gorge, Toccoa Falls, Angel/Panther Falls and Minnehaha Falls. All were close by and family friendly. Amanda was thoughtful and thorough about communicating with any issues/questions that came up with the house. We highly recommend Bunkhouse at Lake Burton!

The Perfect Getaway

We were more than pleased with our stay at the Bunkhouse on Burton! The house was absolutely perfect, and we really enjoyed how private the home was. We have been coming to Lake Burton for years, and this has been our best rental yet! Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Big smiles at Bunkhouse!

We absolutely loved our trip to Bunkhouse at Burton!!! The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and has everything you need (plenty of blankets, towels, cookware, games) and more! The game room was a huge hit with the kids (and adults) and the screened in porch was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the magnificent lake view! We loved the fire pit and the amazing outdoor scenery as well. It’s so easy to get to the lake for boating and/or fishing (we did both!)! Amazing trip and we can’t wait to come back to the Bunkhouse at Burton very soon!

Bunkhouse at Burton Blew us away!

Our stay at the bunkhouse at Burton exceeded our expectations. The home is newly renovated, with such an imaginative touch of whimsy.. Our host thought of everything; from the crisp, clean sheets, to the neatly folded towels, to the well-stocked kitchen, no detail was overlooked. The bunk room is darling with such comfy beds . Our favorite part about staying at the Bunkhouse was the porch. It was like stepping back in time. It truly is akin to a southern sleeping porch. Blankets and pillows abound, it was a perfect spot to curl up and read a book. Amanda(our host) checked in often to ask about how our stay was going. She truly is an attentive host. You won’t regret staying at this charming home. We can’t wait to return.

Our family of 5 has been enjoying Rabun County for years. We fell in love with the lakes of Rabun County and the natural wonders of the area.

Whether it's the fog over the ridge lines, the sunrises, telling stories by the fire pit, or exploring these acres on foot, we're sure you'll love to make memories at these places just like we have.
