Welcome to our quiet and peaceful getaway. This one bedroom guest home "The Shed" is next to a pond with a pool that can be accessed. Serene location Close to Crooked River State Park (5 minutes to public boat ramp) and 15 minutes to Historic St Mary's and Cumberland Island access. Plenty of room to park a boat if you have one you want to bring. Freshwater fishing at the pond or saltwater fishing at the nearby river. *******GPS DIRECTIONS WILL TAKE YOU TO AN ADJOINING NEIGHBORHOOD AND ARE NOT RELIABLE******* Directions - Hwy 40 toward Crooked River, left on Mush Bluff Rd, left on Live oak Lane, go around curve and continue straight up Cadie Lane (Gravel Drive), take a right at the fork to get to The Shed.

We loved staying at The Shed! The property was beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed fishing and birdwatching right in the backyard. The Shed was great; well appointed, immaculate and lovely.

Donald was very friendly and highly responsive. The shed was very clean, well appointed and cute. The yard and the view….. gorgeous!!! Peaceful and quiet….. so relaxing. Coffee on the patio watching the birds and turtles, and occasionally the goats across the pond. Perfect!!

This was our third time staying at this property. We absolutely love everything about our stays here!! The cabin is perfect for the two of us!! Always welcoming!! The view of the lake in the back is just a bonus!!! Donald is always the best host!!

Hideaway gem

Our stay was great. Felt like we were in the middle of no where. The host was prompt answering any questions we had and was very friendly. We were staying there due to having repairs on our rv we live in and we had all amenities that we could want. Would definitely stay again.

Second stay, love this place

We love this place. Our second stay was just as perfect as the first. Great location, quiet, secluded, comfortable, everything we needed and more. If you are an avid birder, you won’t find a better spot. A multitude of shorebirds roost around the lake right outside the back door. Perfect base for exploring the St Mary’s area. We will be back.

The guest house & property was very clean & kept well. The host Donald started out very nice, but eventually showed his true colors. The only thing that kept him from a good Alabama Spanking is the fact that my 10 year old son was there. This day & time some Adults need a good Spanking. My son & myself were there visiting my 20 year old Daughter who is stationed at Kingsbay Navy Base she is a M.A. for the Navy & she is very good at her job, she had just received a approval letter from the Top Ranking Admiral who was visiting from the Pentagon. We came to St. Mary's to celebrate my Daughter being recognized by the Admiral & to find us a place to live, we will be Re-locating there soon. I want go into details but MR DONALD the host Dis-Respected me & my Daughter & it was all over my Daughter bringing a friend over for dinner which made 4 TOTAL GUEST as the rules state. Caution Beware Of Donald The Host.

Great place for a quiet, relaxing getaway

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our stay with Donald was. To say that he spoiled us would be an understatement. I only wish we could have stayed longer and cannot wait to go back!!

Family Visit

The Shed is perfect! I liked what Isaw on VRBO and love everything I saw when I arrived. Beautiful property, very comfortable, decor is perfect, kitchen well equipped, comfortable bed, and the privilege of using the swimming pool, awesome. Donald is very kind and accommodating. Christmas with family

The view looking over the pond is absolutely beautiful. This is a very peaceful area. If your the king of person looking for a complaint the whole not one I could do is the bed was to small but me and the wife are both 200+lbs so that more of an us problem. We Really enjoyed our stay.
