Welcome to our quiet and peaceful getaway. This one bedroom guest home "The Shed" is next to a pond with a pool that can be accessed. Serene location Close to Crooked River State Park (5 minutes to public boat ramp) and 15 minutes to Historic St Mary's and Cumberland Island access. Plenty of room to park a boat if you have one you want to bring. Freshwater fishing at the pond or saltwater fishing at the nearby river. *******GPS DIRECTIONS WILL TAKE YOU TO AN ADJOINING NEIGHBORHOOD AND ARE NOT RELIABLE******* Directions - Hwy 40 toward Crooked River, left on Mush Bluff Rd, left on Live oak Lane, go around curve and continue straight up Cadie Lane (Gravel Drive), take a right at the fork to get to The Shed.

AFter staying at many VRBO's we finally found a place to relax, enjoy and able to enjoy the nature around the property. In short, we have marked this as our preferred property to stay at when visiting family in the area.

The "SHAK" was perfect based on the amenities and the location. We sat out looking at the pond and the wildlife for hours on end. Plan on returning.

We loved staying at The Shed! The property was beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed fishing and birdwatching right in the backyard. The Shed was great; well appointed, immaculate and lovely.

This one of the best stays we have had at a VRBO. The property is so beautiful and the owner was so accommodating too our needs. We definitely did not want to leave. We plan on going back to this property.. We also enjoyed that it is so close to the boat ramp. We enjoyed several hours on crooked river and Cumberland island. We also enjoyed the pool after a day on the water. We really had a chance to relax :) The shed is top notch!!
So beautiful and relaxing !!

The property is well-maintained, on a pond with a dock and very quiet and relaxing. It's near Crooked River State Park and the St. Mary's River. Everything was extremely neat, clean and well supplied for little incidentals such as coffee, and cooking supplies

Donald was very friendly and highly responsive. The shed was very clean, well appointed and cute. The yard and the view….. gorgeous!!! Peaceful and quiet….. so relaxing. Coffee on the patio watching the birds and turtles, and occasionally the goats across the pond. Perfect!!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful our stay with Donald was. To say that he spoiled us would be an understatement. I only wish we could have stayed longer and cannot wait to go back!!

Hideaway gem

Our stay was great. Felt like we were in the middle of no where. The host was prompt answering any questions we had and was very friendly. We were staying there due to having repairs on our rv we live in and we had all amenities that we could want. Would definitely stay again.

Thanks for a 4 star rating. But you know you were not to check in until 3pm. you showed up at 11:30.Then was upset because you did not read the directions on the home page or call me until you found the Shed . You had my number the whole time. I am upset that i gave you a 5 star when it should have been maybe a 3. You did not follow all the house rules and no i do not want to have you as a guest.

Second stay, love this place

We love this place. Our second stay was just as perfect as the first. Great location, quiet, secluded, comfortable, everything we needed and more. If you are an avid birder, you won’t find a better spot. A multitude of shorebirds roost around the lake right outside the back door. Perfect base for exploring the St Mary’s area. We will be back.

Perfect setting

Very clean and a beautiful area on a lake. Quiet and pleasant. The SW decorating was nice and carried out throughout. Relaxing.

Beautiful and tranquil.

quiet, ambiant and cozy. watching the birds come and go, sitting by the fire pit at night, it's just a peaceful break from a hectic life.
