Coming from the Prairies it's always amazing to see what BC coastal people pull off on sloped sites and this property is no exception from the parking area to the sweeping deck with amazing ocean views. The internal yurt construction was riveting (no pun intended) and the home had everything we needed from dishes and a bbq to towels and bedding. We truly enjoyed the whole yurt and Powell River experience. The traffic noise might affect some light sleepers but we were unaffected. Communication from the hosts was clear and helpful. Would definitely stay again :)

It was a great place to stay. Jeff was very responsive to inquiries. The set up is really nice and the beds were comfortable. It is a short walk to the beach for a cold dip. The grill was really nice for making dinner. We would happily stay again.

The accommodation was really good, nicely appointed and comfortable. The only negative feature was proximity and very loud traffic noise that you could hear clearly inside the yurt.

The yurt is a lovely space and very conveniently located. The kitchen is great and the on-site laundry is a plus. The decor and furniture is also lovely. Since it's right by the highway, the location is fairly noisy, and we did find that the yurt got very warm and stuffy during the day partly due to the lack of shade on the property (we ended up opening the windows and door while we were there rather than using the AC unit). An investment in a shade sail or a big umbrella for the deck would be an improvement. I would also note that the shower is on the smaller side and taller people may find it a challenge to use; my daughter and I did fine but my husband had a difficult time fully washing because it was too cramped.

We enjoyed our stay in the yurt - it was super-cute, very clean, had a great view and was equipped with everything we needed. The location was convenient to town - about 10 minutes to a grocery store, but also some traffic noise because of its location. Andrea was a great host and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed. Thanks again, Andrea!

This was our second stay in this great little well equipped yurt. Jeff and Andrea are very quick to respond to any questions. Used the barbecue this time and all was good. Futon and bed are very comfortable.

A piece of paradise

Our stay was amazing, such a neat place to stay and would recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Powell River, Andrea and Jeff were exceptional hosts and always happy to answer or help with what ever they can, we will definitely stay here for our future trips if available, thank you both again

Drawbacks are traffic noise and awkward driveway. If not for those, we would rate the property as a 5. Yurt is very attractive, comfortable and well appointed - we had everything we needed. Spectacular view. Wonderful hosts.

Tidy, well appointed sweet yurt!Construction trucks rumbling by side and back roads was extremely loud on Thursday night, but Friday night was much less traffic. Earplugs and white noise machine worked like magic

We have always wanted to see what it was like to stay in a yurt, and particularly this one. The location is excellent as it’s only about 7-8 minutes to town and that puts you closer if you want to go to southern sections of the Sunshine Coast Trail.The place was very clean - which is really nice. The view is great and it’s right across from the beach and Myrtle Rocks. It had all the amenities and was quaint. One funny thing is that we stayed 4 nights and it took me until the last night to figure out the bed was not fixed to the wall or floor and was able to move it over a foot so we could get around it LOL. It was really nice there was a washer and dryer as we used it a few times and are travelling home with all clean laundry:) That’s a bonus. The road noise was manageable and the earplugs were a nice touch. The cabin being built next door on the same property looks really nice and we hope we can stay there as well when it’s completed. Thanks……

Adorable little yurt!

Well equipped. Nice propane fire pit for marshmallows and hotdogs. Bbq. Out door cooking vessels for shellfish. Laundry facilities. Day traffic noisy but quiet through the night. Easy drive into town.

Amazing guest who left the place absolutely spotless. Easy to communicate with and added her own personal touch inside the place. Would definitely rent to Judy again.
