Bluebird Day - Crater Retreat

Welcome to Crater Retreat!

Crater Retreat is light and bright modern home tucked backed in a quiet corner of the historic district of downtown. You will have the best of everything at your fingertips! Walk everywhere  in just a few minutes. Mirror Pond, Deschutes River and Old Mill are all close. 

This home has two bedrooms with king beds and a den that also has a king bed. Please do remember that this sweet home only has one bathroom. If you can handle that, you will absolutely love this location. Fully equipped kitchen and dining space for 6. Outside you will find a patio with a BBQ and seating for 6. The patio is situated on a corner lot, perfect for relaxing and watching all your neighbors walk by. You will have two secured spots right in your own private paved driveway and a locking shed for your gear. This home will make an exceptional base for all of your adventures. 

Mt Bachelor Ski Resort and the Cascade Lakes are just a short drive away and are the perfect places to explore in any season. Biking trails in the warmer seasons and skiing or snowboarding option in the winter.

Perfect location to spend 4th of July! Just a couple blocks from restaurants, shops and Drake Park/river. Very clean and comfortable! Loved the outdoor grill and seating area as well.

Good location

Nice little place to stay in Bend. Def built as a rental, it’s basic with a living room, kitchen and three bedrooms off the living room but it was exactly what we needed. Would recommend.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Big Lava. The host was very communicative and easily reachable via text. We loved the location as it was very close to some good restaurants and bars. Highly recommend this property!

Great place

Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Was very clean and had a well equipped kitchen as we made breakfast everyday. Loved that the rooms all had king size beds and even though there is only one bathroom, it wasn’t a drawback.

The property was immaculate, the location was great and it was nice and quiet. It was great for my husband and me but I wouldn’t want to take anymore people as it only has on bathroom.

Great place in a great location!

Our family loved this place. The location can’t be beat. Each of the three bedrooms were great for what our family needed. For some groups, the one bathroom situation might be more of a challenge but was just fine for us. Would definitely stay at this place again with my family.

Great place in a fun location

The place was just as advertised. Well equipped with what looked like new everything. We enjoyed short drives to Smith Rock and the Newberry Volcanic National Monument, and short walks to places like the broom closet speakeasy at a nearby hotel.

Great location!

Great location, easy walking distance from downtown Bend. The unit has a clean, modern feel. The beds were comfortable and the neighborhood was surprisingly quiet given its location. Keep in mind there is only one bathroom. We had a wonderful stay!
