We all loved the place. Super clean and wife said kitchen was better equipped than our home kitchen. Great views from the deck. Highly recommended.

Our stay met all of our needs. well appointed with top of the line appliances. great views were enjoyed including watching the chickens in the yard. Very clean well appointed with top of the line appliances , All of our needs were met including great views as well watching the chickens in the yard. John is a great host.

Overall, we had an amazing extended stay! John and his wife were incredible hosts, and we appreciate their generosity and kindness throughout our visit. The apartment offers great river views, is easily accessible to both local and tourist amenities, and has all the necessities to make us feel at home for a peaceful stay.

Relaxing view

We loved the view and spent a lot of time on the covered patio. The only downside was that there were more stairs to the property than we expected but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

Very nice stay in Juneau. The unit was very clean and well stocked with everything needed for kitchen and bathroom. The location was very convenient and close to local stores and attractions. There are alot of steps up to the unit, but the view from the rear deck is worth it. Highly recommended

Wonderful, very clean upper level apartment. Location was great for our 5 night stay. With a rental car, we were able to explore all of Juneau and Douglas Island without staying downtown near the busy cruise ship docks. The close proximity to the airport was perfect for an early flight out at the end of our stay. Any tour we booked required us to meet at the cruise ship dock, but that was a short 15 minute drive. John was a wonderful host and quickly answered any questions we had and let us know right away when he found an item we left behind. We LOVED the incredibly well stocked kitchen. Though not planned, we decided to take advantage of the great kitchen and stopped at a local market for fresh salmon and crab and cooked "at home" one night. Dinner on the deck with card games afterward (also provided) was an unexpected treat! Appreciated the clean washer and dryer, and a decent supply of towels to get through our whole stay. Also appreciated the off street parking in the fenced yard, too. Thanks, John!

Juneau vacation

Kitchen had great equipment for making fish soup. Center island was useful. Super deck experience. Kitchen stove was unique case top and electric oven. Super sized fridge

Great comfortable rental!

We had a great stay at this conveniently located brand new property! John, the host, was easy to communicate with and was accommodating with changes to our travel plans. If we needed anything, we had it by the next day. There’s just about every type of pan you could need, in addition to olive oil, and a full rack of spices for cooking. The radiant floor heating kept the place comfortable all the time. We look forward to staying here again!

Eagle's Nest in Juneau

We had a fabulous visit. The apartment seems newly re-done. It was clean and comfortable for our family of 4. If anything, John, the host under sells the place. All the pictures on VRBO are of the really nice interior but there are also great views out the bedroom windows and from the super nice porch. The property is right on the Mendenhall River but down by the wider part of the river so out of the recent flood areas. Other than the super nice accommodations, the best part was that it is walking distance from an amazing walking area around the Juneau airport right next to a wildlife refuge. It is a 3 mile walk through the refuge straight from the house with eagles and shore birds everywhere. Gorgeous. I would highly recommend this stay... but don't book it when we want to come next.

It was a pleasure to host Natalie’s family! It was great to hear they took advantage of the nearby nature trails and surroundings and enjoyed the views all around the apartment, which is why it’s named “Eagles Nest!” It’s a new construction vacation home, so I’ll be adding more outdoor amenities in the future so guests can have additional recreation opportunities on the property along the river.

A beautiful stay! It is very modern, quiet, clean and well stocked with bath towels, kitchen supplies and a beautiful view of the river.
