Built in 1857, beautifully renovated, this 4 bedroom, 2 bath home offers fireplace in cool weather, outdoor yard fire pit and S'more conversation area, huge furnished deck, grill area, yard games. Walking paths around walnut groves & farm fields. Hike near Coffee Creek. Property borders historic Mill on Coffee Creek. Peaceful property where nature abounds, turkey, eagles, deer and local wildlife. Hear the cranes, waterfowl, owls serenading. Rural in established heritage farms & homes area. We offer unique personal chef services & meal plans with advance request! Ask for rental corn crib firepit, special for added unique fun, zen moments & wildlife viewing. We will book Llama trekking, lunch with Llamas & Llama encounters for guests in season & availability with the Llama farm. You may be lodging during our Llama 101, program and practice trail days.
Close to Lake Michigan Indiana Dunes National and State Park Lakeshore and beaches. Coffee Creek Preserve, wineries, breweries, distilleries, farmers markets, quaint shops, great eateries, antiques, Valparaiso University all less than 15 minutes. 13 miles to Michigan City, lighthouse, marinas, zoo, shops, outlet mall and restaurants. Less than an hour from Chicago and South Bend airports, regional airport in Valparaiso. Family Stay for Valpo Graduation

Easily accommodated 6-8 adults for dining, relaxing and overnight stay in a quiet, country historic farmhouse and property. Gracious hosts and wonderful chef meals for breakfast and dinner!! 5/5 stars!

Warm, inviting, and better than we could have imagined.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful, warm, and inviting property! Even though our trip was last minute, it felt like the host went out of their way to make us feel like the most important guests they’ve ever had. The home was impeccably clean, thoughtfully stocked with everything we could need, and the attention to detail was truly impressive. The host was incredibly responsive and clearly passionate about ensuring we enjoyed every wonderful moment, both on and off the property. It was worth every penny, and we’re already planning to return next year! Highly recommend!

HOF Weekend

My family and I stayed at this quaint home for a weekend attending events at the local high school. The home was adorable and the proximity was perfect. We did. It have a chance to really enjoy all the amenities but enjoyed the weekend.

Cozy Farmhouse

We had a wonderful stay at Moonshine Farms! The farmhouse was very clean, comfortable, relaxing and cozy. Plus, the property is beautiful. We enjoyed walking around the fields and hiking in the wooded areas. We saw a fawn and some unique birds, including a scarlet tanager. There are also wild turkeys among other wildlife that we did not see, but we plan on returning. The highlight was trekking with the sweet llamas. What a fun experience! It is one we will always treasure. The location of the farm is perfect. It couldn't have been any better. You are just minutes from everything as it is very centralized. We explored the dunes and several charming towns. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time. You also have the option to purchase wonderful syrup that has been harvested on the farm. Thanks so much to Rusty and Leann. They are the best! What great hosts and owners! They are very responsive and truly cared about our stay at the farm. We definitely recommend Moonshine Farm on Coffee Creek!

Charming farm house in a beautiful surroundings

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely farm house. It is full of character, comfortable and cosy. Great place for a family gathering. We've been there in July and enjoyed the trees and green surroundings and meadows. We could spot deers and rabbits and fireflies. Nearby Chesterton is a lovely town offering nice restaurants and farmers market. House owners were very friendly and I can also recommend their delicious maple syrup.

Family Time on the Farm

Beautiful setting in a quiet area in a great location, close to things to do. Very clean, plenty of towels and everything you need in the kitchen. We had 5 adults visiting family near Valparaiso and we had plenty of room for all of us. The house is kind of chopped up and bathroom/kitchen are smaller in size (but very clean and updated). We really enjoyed our time there walking around the beautiful farm and visiting with each other. There was lots of room in the living area for everyone to hang out together. Overall a wonderful place to stay, would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again. The property owner was very helpful and informative before and during our stay. Thank you for sharing your home and farm with our family.

Hidden gem.

The farmhouse is picturesque. Came into town for a family gathering and could not have asked for a better place to stay. House was immaculately clean. The farmhouse was decorated for Christmas while we were there which just made it even more cozy. I highly recommend staying here. The owners were very responsive but we didn’t lack for anything in this rental.
