Online description was right on. Recommend this place for a couple looking to enjoy a stay on the Hip Strip.Host was responsive and quick to resolve any concerns. Had a great time and would definitely go back here again.

Escaping the cold

This is the 2nd time I’ve booked this property it has everything you need!!! New tv was put in and worked great! Location is top notch waking up every morning to the view of the beach is absolutely amazing and you can walk everywhere you need to go. Will definitely be back

Nina the owner is great she accommodated all my requests. Prefect location beach right across the street from the apartment and view is amazing.

Clean, great views, just dated

The condo was just like the pictures, amazing balcony with great views. The ac was definitely struggling to keep the place cool. The building was secure, which was great, but definitely run down. We've learned most of that area of the hip strip was abandoned except for shop owners hassling. Three good beaches in walking distances though and that's why we choose this place. Owner was communicative!

Great vacation home

This apartment building is was very clean with 24/hour security. The apartment itself was clean and bigger than expected. The pictures don’t do justice.

This place was very clean had everything we needed including a washer and dryer!!! It was in a Great location my favorite part of the day was coming back from docs cave and people watching on the porch in the afternoons. Nina was a great host very fast response to anything I needed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone and would say again next time I’m in Jamaica 🇯🇲

Great Property in Excellent location

Great view overlooking the beach and Hip Strip. Starbucks and ATM right across the street. Great communication from the host. Have stayed here a few times before and enjoyed the experience but this room was nicely updated with comfortable king size mattress and exceeded expectation. Will stay here everytime I visit Mobay if there is availability.

I really liked the place! The only problem we had was the shower. Not much hot water or pressure but we made it through that okay.

IT WAS A BIT DIFFICULT CHECKING IN,,,, BUT OVER ALL MY STAY WAS OF EXCELLENCE! THIS UNIT IS EXACTLY WHATS ADVERTISED. VERY WELL MAINTENANCED, CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. THE VIEW AND LOCATION IS BEST. THE HOST WAS RESPONSIVE AND CHECKED TO SEE IF I ARRIVED. I WILL FOR SURE CONTACT THIS HOST FOR MY FUTURE STAYS! THE BUILDING IS VERY MUCH OLD AND NEED RENOVATION, BUT THE AREA IS CONVIENT. Property is an older building. Clean but needs a lot of update. Not enough parking for the number of units. Apartment not as it appears on website. Bathroom needed attention. Air conditioner not working appropriately. Host was extremely nice but manager not very attentive which air conditioner not working. Location is perfect with beautiful view.

Mo Bay getaway

Beautiful Location, but the building is outdated. It reminds me of the worst house on a beautiful street. It would bring down the value of everything around it in the United States. There is so much potential for the building, but apparently nobody cares. I'm guessing it will remain the way it is until someone demolishes it or someone realizes the potential and fixes it.

Staying on the Hip Strip

The property was had great ocean views and a great location on the Hip Strip close to downtown Montego Bay. The building staff were very nice and we felt secure during our visit. The property itself wasn't as clean as we would have expected upon arrival, especially the dishes in the kitchen. Also, we had trouble getting hot water in the shower during the week. Finally, it would have been great o have access to the washer and dryer in the unit (closet is locked). Overall, though, the unit was a great value and we would return.

Bed bugs in the bed this sucked

No salt & pepper. No Kleenex. No dish soap. No bar soap. No paper towels. The water gave us a loose stool so had to boil the water. All of this should be provided. Bed Bugs got to my girlfriend on the second night.This really set us back. I won't recommend this Dump to anyone.

Maintenance Required

Property in urgent need of overall maintenance, particularly the bathroom, the washer and dryer area (washer lid was rusty). The cooking knives in the kitchen need changing, they were dull and useless. Salt and pepper shakers were empty…. Consider investing in black-out curtains for persons who may want to sleep in late and not be disturbed with the rising sun. The electrical socket to the left of the TV was not functioning. You need another patio chair (make it a pair) in addition to the lounge chair. The 2 left burners on the stove were not functional. All of the burners on the stove need changing as they are all rusty.

Fantastic Location

We had a really great stay in this lovely Studio. The location was ideal - right across from Doctor's Cave Beach, and in the middle of the Hip Strip. The listing was accurate, the unit was nicer than we had expected from the photos. The bedroom/sitting area has a lovely, beachy feel to it, and was very clean. We really liked having the sink separate from the bathroom, allowing two people to conduct morning routines at the same time. The kitchen allowed us to prepare breakfast most mornings and enjoy local produce for snacks and a few meals. We spent a few hours most days at the pool, enjoying the beautiful view, and much time on the balcony watching the Montego Bay traffic. We had really great interactions with Nina. Emails were responded to very promptly, and we found the information she gave us about the apartment to be very good. Her restaurant suggestions were helpful, and so was the common sense she shared. I had accidentally not sent an email in a string of communication, creating some confusion over when we planned to check in. Nina was alert to this, and immediately offered assistance . We would recommend this apartment to those looking for a non-resort experience. The self-catering aspect was great for us. We worked with a driver (Ken from Ken's Dream Vacations) to obtain local food. We enjoyed the fruits from the vendor downstairs, and ate lots of local fish, snacks and produce. The convenience store in the building has fresh Jamaican patties delivered each morning (9 a.m.) which we enjoyed when we didn't feel like preparing a meal or going out.

Great location on the Hip Strip right across from the beach with an amazing view.

This studio is exactly as seen in the photos. It is very spacious with a king bed, small kitchen and table. Bathroom had ample space for two people. It’s in a great location right across from the beach and walking distance from restaurants. Nina was very responsive on answering questions and provided a great overview packet of things to do. Check in and out was easy and Nina let us check out later since our flight was at night. WiFi was good and the balcony was perfect for relaxing and people watching. The building itself looks a bit run down but you aren’t in a resort so wasn’t expecting new. The only reason I docked the place was the hot water in the shower only lasted a few minutes before getting cold. It would get hot again for 2 minutes then cold etc. The second reason is the noise on the hip strip is very loud throughout the night. The people on the street talking sound like they are in your room and cars honking at 3 am can keep a light sleeper up. Sound proof balcony doors would help. I guess that’s the price you pay for the location and view! I would stay here again.

Loved the location. Right across from Dr. Cave. Locals can get aggressive wanting ypoi toshop in their store or to buy Ganja. Sometimes they would walk along side of us and woulsnt take no for an answer. The air conditioning was not cool enough. The apartment was rather warm. We were there for Sumfest so went to sleep late. There were very loud motorcycles riding by after 3AM. The pillows in the apartment need changing and thebed was too hard. There was no lamp in sleeping area.

I enjoyed it and would stay again but...

I have stayed at the Montego Bay Club before and the location is perfect for me. You can walk to shops, beaches, night life, and restaurants. The 24/7 store on the second floor is great. Now the condo is a one bedroom studio...very nicely decorated. Bed is very good and comfortable. The host very responsive. Check in/out very easy. The three issues I had was the hot water in the shower would come and go i.e. you turn it on you got hot water, but by the time you soaped up...hot water gone...had to wait maybe 2-3 minutes for it to come back. The faucets did not seem like they have been cleaned in a while stainless steal but they where white. Next, the amount of roach spray that was sprayed really affect my allergies. Next, there was two kitchen knifes that look like someone use them to mix paint...I mean really...one blade was blue and the other blade was green...so of course I did not use them. Other than that I would stay again...but maybe not during peak season.

Location, location, location

I stayed in this unit for the month of Feb. It had everything I needed. Vegitable/fruit venders come two to three times a week in the upper parking lot. Condo equipped with sufficient cooking materials. There is a small grocery store on the second floor. I took a taxi to MegaMart(like Walmart) and stocked up when I first got there. Easy walking to beaches, shopping, food, pharmacy and doctor. There are two other public beaches within walking distance too. Drs. Cave across the street charges $6US to get in and $7 each for an umbrella and chair. Large balcony and the view was the best part. Good people watching especially when the ships come in usually on Tues. and Wed. There is music next door on Tues. and Wed. evenings. I found that was a plus especially when they had steel drums. I just chilled on the balcony and listened. Music was from about 830p- 1030p. Twice a week tolerable. Studio was clean. The bed is very firm. Bring your own pillow if you are use to a down or fluffy pillow. I was glad I did. New casino being built down the street across from Margarettaville. It is about a 15 min. walk from condo. I was impressed with all the security and friendly people in the complex. I felt safe every place I went. It can be a little vibraint as you are on "The Hip Strip." All the action is usually during the day and the nights pretty quiet from about 10 or 11p to 7a.

The building is located on the tourist strip, surrounded by bars, souvenir shops and restaurants close by. You have the freedom to structure your vacation as you want. The studio is better value than a hotel room, the kitchen provides you with the ability to make meals therefore cutting costs on eating out.
