We recently celebrated our 50th anniversary with a trip to Alaska with our family. There were 10 of us in all ranging in age from 10 to 77. While on the Kenai Peninsula we were busy daily with fishing, floating the river, a wildlife cruise, and hiking. But as my son-in-law says, it was staying at Raven’s Bluff House that really made the trip. If we’d stayed in a lodge or even another VRBO, it just wouldn’t have been the same experience. The grounds were spacious and had everything we could possibly want—a fire pit, beautiful deck with hot tub, some fishing equipment, bikes, etc. The kitchen was well appointed and had plenty of everything so we didn’t have to keep washing silverware and glasses, etc. The caretakers, Paul and Sheila, live in a cabin nearby and it was nice to know they were nearby if we had questions or needed anything. It is obvious that they take pride in maintaining the cabin to the highest standards.
