Spend your weekend or staycation at the lake! It’s beautiful, peaceful and there’s lots to do! Bring the whole family to this great place with tons of room to spread out and entertain. The views are amazing! Fishing (heated dock available year round), hunting nearby, frisbee golf course on the lake, great golf course and airport within 3 miles. Pontoon available (extra fee) plus dock at property. Head into town just a couple miles away to pick up groceries at the local store, grab dinner or anything you might need at the dollar store! This property will wow you!

Lake fun

Lovely location. So many options for outdoor activities close by. Ping pong, pool, and many game supplies indoor. Roomy living room, dining area for a large crowd. Great place for a family get-away.

Labor Day Weekend Stay

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The lake house was clean, close to the water, stocked very well with any amenity you can think of to need, and the host was very communicative throughout the duration of our stay. If ever in the area again, we would most definitely stay at this property!

Lakeside vacation

Beautiful location. Great house filled with plenty of games and things for kids to do! Went to the lake numerous times and when a storm rolled in they had plenty of games to engage with each other! Great place would definitely recommend to anyone! Familys, friend trips, stairs might hard for elderly/toddlers but great otherwise!! Definitely recommended!!

Quick weekend getaway

We came to visit friends, but wanted our own space with our 3 young kids + 2 young dogs. Communication was very easy. The lake house had everything we needed and more. Well stocked kitchen, clean beds and bathrooms, and plenty of entertainment for all. We enjoyed walking around the lake and playing on the playground + taught our older 2 kids how to play pool. They already want to come back when we have more time so we can use the boat! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!

Met our needs and expectations

We were here for the Unbound Gravel Race in Emporia. Check in was seamless, easy to connect to Wi-Fi and internet connection was great. Enough options for making coffee. Was great to be able to ride some gravel roads right from the house. Was nice to have a hose on the side of the house to wash our bikes. Trip to Emporia was close enough for us. If I had to find something to improve it would be the bed in main room could have been a little firmer and the shower for the guest room was not heating water. The shower in the main room was fine though. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for others.

Tabor Springbreak

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was clean, kitchen was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable, and the location was perfect. My daughter and her friends, who attend Tabor college, thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs and played pool every day. I enjoyed the big kitchen to make home cook meals for the college “kids”. The landlord was extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Hillsboro or Marion. NOTE: we had been staying in another VRBO rental, which had issues, not the owner’s fault and I found this rental, Laurie was so responsive, accommodated our situation and we were able to change houses the very next day.

Cozy with a view

Our stay at the sunnyside lake house was absolutely amazing communication with Laurie was better than any host ive had. The property was not only clean but it was homely. It felt like you were visiting a friends home and not a rental. They even had a tree up inside for the holidays which my son loved very much. It had all the cooking ware plenty of dishware, and the kitchen is very spacious. Over all our stay was great and our host wvn messaged us to make sure everything qas still gong well. It safe to say we will definitely be booking with Laurie again. 100 out of 10 recommended

Seamless and easy checkin. The property was clean and ready for family and fun. WiFi password is easily accessible. Kitchen had all the utensils needed for cooking. Mixers to air fryer to pots and pans. Cook sheets to coffee pots. With Lots of places to sleep the couch in the master pulls out as well as well as the two chairs in the basement. I can’t get over the fact that all you need to bring is what you want to cook and the family ready to have fun They have everything else you need. You can see the lake from the house and roads has people walking and riding bikes all the time so you get that lake vibe. My host was responsive and helpful and super sweet to deal with! I wish I could give a higher rating. Very well deserved.
